Perot got in late, and was able to get on most state ballots in 1992. But, I believe after that that many states changed the process specifically to prevent another Perot.
Romney would have to run as a Libertarian.
Notice the articles about how many people were googling “Libertarian party” after Trump sealed the nomination. I suspect the GOP establishment’s plan is to get behind the Libertarian candidate as the 3rd party alternative.
Of course, Libertarians would never accept Romney as their nominee. So, how they plan to put him (or Cruz or anybody else) on the Libertarian ticket is a mystery.
Remember the waves of moderate Republicans who swept John Anderson into the White House in 1980?

Looks like if Mondays passes, they can’t run a presidential race in Texas.
If any GOP power broker orchestrates a 3rd party candidate the Republican party will look like a turncoat organization, and that will be their end for good, because they have faught too week for too long, standing for nothing. They will not be able to come back and will be lower than the green party as far as support goes.

I don’t think Jews control the US govt by any means but their lobbying is pretty strong for Israel which is contradictory given those they actually vote for are hostile to a strong right leaning Israel
People who claim Jewish identity are without question the predominate force in motion pictures and television as well and they tend to be anti pluralist leftist and cultural Marxist though some do produce gems.....Speilberg

The biggest supporters of Israel I think are actually religious conservatives albeit for different reasons
I’m neither btw for the record....I’m the outlier Israel supporter group....the objectivist who has no confusion determining the good guy in all of it
No one group controls our govt but right now it would appear the parties and lobbyists and identity politics folks all think they do

Good post. Control was probably to strong. They have a lot of power, and some of it leans left. That’s what we need to fight.
Kristol has always been a neocon opportunist. If he had feathers he’d be a cowbird.
Kristol is working to elect Hillary, but in a camouflaged way, by supporting a candidate to split the anti-Hillary vote. So he can elect her and claim he didn’t.
