Cruz's concession speech was fine, if rather long, but after watching it a couple of times, it was nothing spectacular.
Trump is fine at public speaking. He connects with People.

Trump is great speaking at rallies using anecdotal stories and simplistic points and connects with his supporters.
That's a reflection on his style not his supporters..
With the rest of the voters who already do not like him or don't trust him, he comes across as braggadocious, boorish and speaks with the lowest common denominator...
To win the older more educated voters, traditional republican, women, he needs to be able to communicate in a more professional manner...
He will need to get these people's vote to win...
George H. W. Bush has lots of government experience, is eligible (no one ineligible to be President may be elected Vice President but he was only elected President once), would bring in the Jeb! supporters, and there’s always the 25th amendment if he doesn’t make it to the end of the term.

And she’s been over-exposed via reality TV and books since.
Perry isn’t enough of a fighter. Department of the Interior to get it drilling, mining, ranching, etc - yes.
But if they want Carson to do something - head of the VA or HHS is a good choice for him.

She is Hindu, her father is Catholic and her mother Hindu and so she has that background. She’s part Samoan and definitely a Dem. I know some people who like her are hoping she will eventually change parties. HI is a Dem controlled state 100% (and very corrupt).

It’s the most extreme and unpredictable and wildly entertaining and scary election season I have ever witnessed. And now it’s really starting; seeing Trump pulverize Hitlery and another other Dems who pipe up is going to be riveting.

Perry? The first thing he said was that Trump was a cancer on Conservatism that needed to be excised and discarded!
While Donald is man enough to forgive this vicious attack, Perry would not be a good VP choice.
He has lost all credibility- made a fool of himself during his run for pres.
I lost respect for him as our governor when he was always promising to seal the border and stop the re-taking of Texas by Mexican invaders, but did not because he was afraid to go against Obama. Same for Abbott; empty promises to get elected. Spineless cowards, both of them.

I know a little bit about her due to her being Hindu (as am I) and I lived in HI years and years ago. I signed up for a newsletter her father put out in snail mail days, mid/late 80s, the same time frame when I used to get “The Conservative Chronical” in fact.
She got married not too long ago and her husband is unbelievably handsome and a non-political private man.
IMHO the coat tail effect will be...yuuuuge.
