Most say Fiorina VP pick won't sway vote

Ted Cruz’s selection of Carly Fiorina as his potential running mate has hardly registered with voters, according to a new poll.

Sixty percent have no opinion on Fiorina’s addition to Cruz’s ticket or think it has “no impact” in a Morning Consult survey released early Tuesday.

Twenty two percent say they are “less likely” to vote for Cruz because of the former Hewlett-Packard CEO. Only 18 percent, meanwhile, say Fiorina makes them “more likely” to cast ballots for the Texas senator.

Pollsters also found that Fiorina is either disliked or unknown to many registered voters nationwide.

Thirty six percent have never heard of the former GOP presidential candidate or have no opinion of her.

Thirty nine percent view her unfavorably, meanwhile, versus 25 percent who see her favorably instead.

Morning Consult surveyed 3,940 registered voters between April 29 to May 2. The new poll has a 2-percent margin of error.

Cruz’s entire campaign has been “awkward” to say the least

I don’t understand what he is trying to accomplish

Most say Fiorina VP pick won't sway vote

It was an attempt to do something to change the polls, and it didn't work. I personally thought it was ill considered and he shouldn't have done it.

And something to get Trump off the front page.

“Sometimes you are just dealt a bad hand.”

True enough but as the song goes, you have to know when to hold them and when to fold them. Betting into two pairs showing in stud is not a good idea when looking to fill an inside straight.

Cruz had a lot going for him at the onset of this race...the best factor is he was seen as the truest conservative. I don’t know what happened to him. Someone should have polished up his image. His playing the Elmer Gantry role did not help and perhaps hurt him a lot.

What a foolish pick. She could have just helped him with his campaign. But she wanted a promise. And I think it’s not even proper to pick a VP without the nomination.

She made history, she’s the FIRST EVER female VP candidate to be chosen by a presidential hopeful who has no chance of winning the nomination.

Historic, fer sure!

Truth be told, I sincerely doubt that Fiorina was his first phone call to find a VP to breathe life into his dead horse campaign.

I was one of the 25,000. Every Thursday was layoff day. Naperville cops were in the lobby on Thursdays in case anyone tried to go postal.

And something to get Trump off the front page.

Exactly. And for what he was hoping to accomplish, it was a tool completely inadequate to the task.

Thanks and please keep posting this whenever Snarly is cited.

She is a horrible choice for any state, and even worse in California where thousands of people like you know how toxic she is to working people

True enough but as the song goes, you have to know when to hold them and when to fold them. Betting into two pairs showing in stud is not a good idea when looking to fill an inside straight.

He needed Trump in the beginning to absorb the fire that would normally be directed at him. He later needed the collection of delusional dwarf candidates to get the F*** off the stage much faster than they did.

The obstinance on the part of people who never had a prayer hurt Cruz far more than they hurt Trump.

Cruz had a lot going for him at the onset of this race...the best factor is he was seen as the truest conservative. I don’t know what happened to him. Someone should have polished up his image. His playing the Elmer Gantry role did not help and perhaps hurt him a lot.

There are people who are perpetually aggrieved at any introduction of religion into campaigns, and there are people who like it. I think he played the religion card a little too much, because of course it gives the New York Liberal Democrat Media opportunities to mock him for it.

His real difficulty lies in the fact that Trump has been waging media driven wars of words with people for Decades, and Trump knows exactly how to skewer people on television.

Trump knows how to use the media far better than does Cruz.
