Republican presidential hopeful John Kasich said Friday evening that some of his fellow party members are alienating Hispanic voters with scare tactics that could hurt the GOP in November's general election.
"Do the Republicans actually think that they can win an election by scaring every Hispanic in this country to death?" Kasich told reporters at the California GOP convention in San Francisco, being held ahead of the state's June 7 primary. "Scaring them to the point that they are afraid that their families are going to be torn apart and disrupted? Do you have any idea what those folks are going to do in a general election?"
Kasich touted his endorsement on Thursday by the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
Donald Trump protesters, who congregated outside the Hyatt Regency San Francisco Airport hotel, marred the convention before Kasich arrived Friday night. "When you live on the negative side, when you feed peoples anger -- you see what happened here today? I heard about it," Kasich said before addressing attendees. "People chaining themselves to a fence trying to prevent somebody from coming -- I mean, you see whats happening? Okay? Well, I may not be winning those votes right now, but over time I believe the people will like to live where they can be hopeful."

What’s that John? Take that burrito grande out of your mouth so we can understand you, you miserable slob!
You’d think every Illegal gets a vote.
Oh really? The Republicans are staging violent riots, flipping over police cars, and saying that they are going to kill Trump? Oh no, that’s the faux prooaganda / riot groups sent out and paid for by Soros. Sorry intelligent people aren’t for BS this time around Soros / Obama administration...
Soros supposedly gave money to Kasich.
And by Hispanic voters Kasivh meant illegals that we’re “legalized” only so they could vote for Satan’s choice - Hitlery.
Kasich, in essence, is saying every Hispanic in the U.S. is here illegally — and Trump is supposed to be the racist.
I suspect Trump will win a reasonable percentage of legal Hispanics who don’t want illegals competing with them for jobs.
The assumption that the hispanic vote is monolithic like the black vote is fallacious
Maybe he’s dreaming of a Dream Team of Him and Jeb!
> Soros supposedly gave money to Kasich.
I don’t know why George Lucas didn’t use Soros for Emporer Palpatine. It would be as close to the real thing as you could get. Soros - top world agitator. Only allowed to live because he hands out checks big enough to buy those new yachts and toys that just about every senator has these days.
By all means, let us alienate the non-Hispanic majority in order to win the 9% of votes that comes from the Hispanic minority. This must surely be a recipe for winning elections.
Kasich is a Liberal with a capitol “L”.
It was in the ‘60s when we first started hearing Libs blaming victims. It was stunning to hear people say that the victim “incited” the attacker.
But that’s how garbage like him thinks.
Instead of condemning the appalling sight of enemy aliens committing acts of terror on our streets, he sides with them and blames the Republican frontrunner.
Beyond belief. He should have been calling for troops.
We’ve been hearing that garbage for years now. The only way to get Hispanic votes is to enforce our laws, have a business friendly environment and follow conservative values, and the law abiding, hard working conservative Hispanics will vote Republican.
And is was very appalling that they were waving Mexican flags while doing so. Then Kasich has the nerve to make this statement.
Trump Was Right, Protesters Prove Mexico Not Sending Their Best
Didn’t Kasich’s PAC get $250k from Soros?
Maybe Kasich has forgotten he is running for President of the US and is supposed to back legal Americans that would include legal Hispanics who respect our laws.
“Make America Mexico Again” MAMA
I wonder if Trump or a pro-Trump PAC will use these images in an AD?
