Wait and see is the right approach. As of now Target supposedly expects nothing to come from this. One article I read compared this to some dumb Christmas cup thing from Starbuck where there was supposedly a boycott that didn’t work. But the thing here is that not just religious folks are agitated about this.
It probably all depends on if women are cool with men using their facilities. Trump said Jenner could use any restroom in his building, and he is a smart business man. Makes me think that maybe women don’t care a whole lot.

It could easily take 3-6 months to really know if Target sales are being hurt. I don’t think they issue regular sales statements. That means one needs to wait for the quarterly results to be announced. Target has a long history of sales growth, and sales growing faster than WalMart. We’ll just have to wait and see if this is really hurting them.
Wish Target would stop this crap soon so I can go back in - I really miss their popcorn.
I would never pull my pistol unless a life was in danger and then I would shoot to kill. If that happens and I'm in a state that will arrest me, well then it will be lawyer time and the results will follow.

As I have stated to some family and friends, who think this is not a big deal, if a crossdressing tranny is using either bathroom, according to the way they look, most people would not care, know, nor care to know.
But, by announcing, with great fanfare, that any man can use any facility, which they want, Target not only put a target on the safety of women and children, but Target GAVE these perverts carte blanche access, AND an excuse to have access.
Up until this happened, if an OBVIOUS man walked into the restroom, dressing room, etc... of a public facility, the facility, women in there, and any decent man, would have said something or done something to eliminate this hazard.
By giving perverts excuses and unfettered access, NOW, just ASKING or even WONDERING why a MAN is in the WOMENS restroom, or a WOMAN is in the MENS restroom is not only considered wrong, but down right inappropriate and offensive! AND, Target has even demonstrated, via hidden-camera incidents, that they will defend the pervert against any sane, level-headed person that has a problem with the pervert being in the WRONG restroom.
I think THAT is why so many people are so incensed and upset over this stupidity! Target decided to take a stand, which was a REALLY stupid stance!!
Same here. Didn’t sign it, but stopped my Saturday morning trip for small essentials there. Walmart just opened a store last week close by.
There is a Target within 5 minute walk from my home. Wal Mart is next at a 8-10 minute drive. Next is a mall 20-30 minutes away. We’ll never darken Target’s doors again.

I am cancelling my Planet Fitness membership today because they have already allowed a man into the women’s locker room. Not fooling around with any of these stupid libs. They can cater to the 1% and have fun trying to run a business that way.
I haven’t signed on, but I see no need to darken the door at TAR-JAY for any reason, whatsoever.
Trump’s supporting men in women’s restrooms elicited a nothing burger response here. I assumed Target having the same policy would as well.

I’ll never forget in the 70’s . . .(with age comes wisdom)that I did the tanning bed thing a couple of times. What did it for me was the person in front of me was a male with what looked like an “all over tan”. Got me to thinking . . . cancelled my membership and my skin thanked me for it.

Here in Dallas there’s already been a story of guy in a women’s bathroom at Target taking pictures - of a girl.
Businesses stupid enough to put women and girls at risk need to see their customer base wither away.
It's ironic, or somethin', that a stupid bathroom policy change has turned Target into #pisstarget.
They’ll let guys who CLAIM to be women into the bathroom with my 14-year-old girl, but they won’t let me - who’s been vetting 7 ways to Sunday - to carry a firearm in their store to defend myself.
Then again, maybe if something happens to my girl it’d be a good thing if I didn’t have a firearm...
but I’m not going back to Target for a long time, if ever. The company is entitled to set whatever policies that it wants to, and I’m just as entitled to shop elsewhere.
I am a very tolerant conservative and a member of the most despised group in America-white, male, conservative, veteran, gun owner, worker, heterosexual, Christian. I resent other’s values and lifestyle choices being forced on me by pc government and/or corporations. Target won’t see any of my money and they are one of many corporations that should be boycotted.
I’d wager for everyone who signs the petition, there’s another 5-7 who will quietly boycott Target. They learned nothing from J.C. Penney’s attempts at PC, and indeed seem to be in the forefront. Enjoy your empty stores, Target managers.
