A disturbing video of a crowd physically beating each other to get at a select few bags of onions outside a supermarket in Venezuela highlights the struggle the average Venezuelan must endure to keep his or her family fed in the increasingly impoverished socialist nation.

The socialist government of Venezuela has destroyed the economy and created great suffering and misery for the people of Venezuela.
SOCIALISM ON DISPLAY
RE-POST THIS EVERYWHERE FOR ALL YOUR “FEEL THE BERN” FRIENDS
If this is happening, it’s only a matter of time before the military steps in to restore order, and some level of a functioning civil society.
Not to mention the $4.5 billion Chavez’ daughter somehow inherited for her great contribution to the country. Oh, and she won’t leave El Presidente’s mansion.
Solid proof of what happens under Socialism and people STILL want it. Stupid doesn’t even describe it any more.
Bernie’s workers paradise. Socialism always ends badly.
“its only a matter of time before the military steps in to restore order, and some level of a functioning civil society.”
Venezuela is already a police state. People wait in lines for 5 hours to buy food. The military already arrests plenty of Venezuelans.
Nepotism is the single most destructive flaw of socialist economies.
Not difficulties in calculating allocation of raw materials, not difficulties determining what the correct price of labor should be, not the inability to save for the future.
Nepotism.
Nepotism arises because the leaders all have families, and all have children.
Over time, you have a situation in which every institution is controlled by a tiny cadre of connected family members. And 80% of them are incompetent boobs.
Anyone who has ever worked for a small- or medium-size company, and watched the performance of the owner's sons and daughters when they get hired after college, is well familiar with the phenomenon.
Maduro is starting to sound like North Korea's fat boy leader Kim "what's-his-name". In fact Venezuela is starting to resemble and sound like North Korea. Blame every bad thing on the United States. Never on the socialist/communist policies that were put in effect. It's a mysterious American "general" causing all the trouble. Why not blame Obama also? Socialists/communists love Obama that's why.
You votes for socialists and got socialism...
See how that works?
No go fight for some potatoes.
Venezuela is Bernie’s World. It should be overflowing with food due to a wealth of rain, sunshine and rich soil, but socialism destroys society, so this is what you end up with.
I actually had an insane lefty (redundant) tell me that the socialist/communist utopias of Venezuela, n. Korea, Cuba, old soviet union, Zimbabwe, are such messes because of US embargoes. Wth? I had to ask him, if it is so wonderful a system, why do they need us?
That’s the drill throughout Latin America. The leaders blame all their problems on the Yankees. Why? Cause the Marines occupied our port for 18 months 112 years ago, THAT’S why!
Bernie Sanders Country
They probably exterminate a lot, too. We only hear about death squads when the government is friendly to the USA and it fits our left bias medias agenda.
The big difference is that Venezuela does have a huge communist puppet master along its border to prop up the unstable regime. I would not be surprised to hear of a regime overthrow or assassination one morning.
The man is completely clueless how he damned himself.
VZ used to be a very civil place. I visited there six months before Hugo came to power. I was really impressed how friendly everyone was to us tourists, from the man on the street to government employees.
Will the citizens rebel of become another North Korea?
Hey, what is he complaining about? At least the onions are FREE!
