Pretty good movie too.
They created that tiger, they have to ride it to the end.
Or the people who don’t believe in movies will blow-up and murder the people who DO believe in movies... The acorn doesn’t fall far from the tree in the House of Saud.
When I was a professor at FIU in Miami I got stuck with 180 Saudi’s for one quarter. They were going to be the Kings private security force. You have to remember that most of them are related. everybody is a cousin. They cheat like you cannot believe. Its part of their culture. They smile at you and then lie like a champ. Again just part of their culture. I asked some of them one day “don’t you think your Mom might like to go out to the mall or a restaurant for dinner?” The answer was “oh no she’s happy at home.”
At least you can have a conversation with the Saudi’s. The worst are the Iranians. The most arrogant unpleasant people I ever ran into. Fortunately I didn’t have to teach any of them.
Here’s what learned at age 28. The Muslims are not like us in any way, shape or fashion. They do not subscribe to the Judeo Christian value system and the sooner you realize and believe it the better off you will be.
I loved that movie.
If the Saudi people could see some good ole’ fashion American films, like, say, South Park The Movie, perhaps relations could be improved.
And those who stay at home tend to be the Islamic studies ones they can only employ by building mosques abroad and exporting the most radical clerics.
...Saudi King Khaled however, did not react to the upheaval by cracking down on religious puritans in general, but by giving the ulama and religious conservatives more power over the next decade. He is thought to have believed that "the solution to the religious upheaval was simple -- more religion."[43] First, photographs of women in newspapers were banned, then women on television. Cinemas and music shops were shut down. School curriculum was changed to provide many more hours of religious studies, eliminating classes on subjects like non-Islamic history. Gender segregation was extended "to the humblest coffee shop". The religious police became more assertive...
They should have stopped after they beheaded the ringleaders.
