I think this outrage movement walked right into a trap, called the “just how are you going to police this” trap.
What Target said probably went above and beyond as far as rhetoric was concerned — but as far as what was actually happening, probably didn’t change a thing.
I think people are madder over Target not pretending to need or want or have that virtue — than over Target not actually needing or wanting or having it.
And this is sad, because it points up a word that begins with h and ends with y as being of highest importance among us.
YES
Target can choose to let men who may or may not be attracted to women into its women’s bathrooms. Women and others can choose to not be customers of Target if they are bothered by that.
