There has been a lot of agitation from the Trump Camp about the caucus process in Colorado and, maybe, now we know why. A Magellan poll released today shows that in a head to head match up, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump would beat his opponent Ted Cruz in Colorado.
Here are the numbers when voting on the current ballot:
44% Trump
34% Cruz
17% Kasich
5% undecided
If voters were asked to choose between Cruz and Trump, the result is little changed:
48% Trump
42% Cruz According to the poll, Trumps top spot is due to his strong stance on immigration and national security. From the poll summary:
Simply put, support for Donald Trump is being driven by his dominance among the 22% of voters that believe stopping illegal immigration is the the top issue.
Among those voters, 59% support Donald Trump and only 26% support Ted Cruz. Additionally, of the 20% of respondents that chose National Security Issues as the top issue, 40% support Donald Trump and 27% support Ted Cruz. To summarize, on each of the top two issues, Donald Trump holds a double-digit lead over Ted Cruz, including a substantial 23-point lead on the issue of stopping illegal immigration.
This survey was done on April 5th and 6th of this year of 609 likely Republican primary voters in Colorado. The survey was not paid for by any candidate, campaign, committee, independent expenditure committee or individual, according to Magellan.

The 2nd issue for CO: National Security, they prefer Donald Trump.
The Colorado republican party wants to continue the cheap labor express. They micromanaged and rigged the Colorado caucus for Cruz.
Kind of a funny “election” where guy in second place is given the gold medal. Guess it’s a Cruzian common core math thing.
Colorado is going left wing liberal loony anyway. A few more Californians moving in and they’ll take control.
Why, then, didn’t the Trump voters show up to vote on March 1?
We didn’t show up because we already knew didn’t get to vote.
We were alerted to that fact last August, 2015.
But, please, don’t stop defending the tyranny, it has helped propel the Trump Win.
Ted Cruz: King of voterless elections.
Because the corruption in Colorado is so great that it would be impossible to make any change. Look what controls that State. Too may fights going on at the same time. Get it!!!!!!
This is the kind of stuff you’re defending, promoting;
Growing Grassroots Anger at GOP Establishment in Tennessee

It’s the kind of stuff the GOPe, and evidently your candidate, ands evidently you, want to bring to all 50 states.
CO and WY are just the first.
On the front range, maybe. But that ain't Colorado. Come over here to the Western Slope and you'll see much different.
It wasn't binding - the delegates were elected, and then paid off by the sCruz campaign
“On the front range, maybe. But that ain’t Colorado. Come over here to the Western Slope and you’ll see much differen”
Sure but they’ll outnumber you 5 to 1 or worse. I hope I’m wrong and kudos to you guys for winning the gun battle a while back.
Funny, I don’t see the usual Cruz posters chiming in here about how maybe they were wrong, and the Colorado steal really was an unethical riggest sham. I’ll keep watching...

1) Trump voters were there! No straw polls = blind voting
2) Trump voters attended and were counted by local news media.
3) Trump voter’s selections were not processed or counted.
4) 40% of the CO delegation are Romney retreads from 2012.
Sham = Voterless wins = CO Caucus CrapSandwich
From personal observation. I see excursion SUVs jam packed with aliens headed for resort property construction sites building luxury condos on the slopes of Vail, Steamboat, Breckenridge, Snowmass, & Beaver Creek Colorado.
These once conservative towns are being inundated by migrant construction workers. Resort service industry jobs are filled with Eastern European aliens. The town people have lobbied the resorts to stop importing cheap labor, they need the jobs very badly and can no longer afford to live in their homes.
If certain Colorado towns continue to import cheap labor to fill 80% of the jobs, 4th generation families will be forced move. These cities will eventually house only tourists and a revolving door of imported cheap labor that they exchange every six months.
Agreed. Colorado has gone Blue.
But CO has 1 million Independents comprised of ticked off conservative Santorum or Paul voters and other typrs. I bet they have been paying and are glad they left the CO republican party. They would be sympathetic to Trump.
Trump could win Colorado.
In a few months Ted Cruz will just be a footnote. Nobody will even be talking about him.
This is one of the issues that’s really hurting Ted Cruz: his sleazy, back-room dealing on things like this because he knows he loses at the ballot box more often than not. He generally does well in caucuses but very poorly in primaries, open or closed. This gives the Trump forces some real ammunition.
“Colorado is going left wing liberal loony anyway. A few more Californians moving in and theyll take control.”
Good, I hope the “immigration” continues, because according to your premise, only the $hit from California is moving to Colorado, which means that we have a chance for things to improve here in CA. But from the looks of things the Colorado GOP has set a new standard for anti-voter corruption that eclipses the GOP here in California where we will have a true primary election where all of us get to actually vote for the primary candidate of our choice. And in that process, seal the nomination of Donald J. Trump as our “Party’s” nominee.
“Kind of a funny election where guy in second place is given the gold medal”
And all the delegates. Of course the Cruz supporters are in glee over this where the voters are left out of it.
I’m tired hearing about Cruz, it’s time Cruz and Kasich got behind the nominee and we can unite and focus on Hillary.
