Former Boston Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling throws out the first pitch at Fenway Park in 2012. By Ryan Lazo Apparently ESPN decided it was about time Curt Schilling was on the other side of a Strike Three call. The network fired their controversial baseball analyst for providing offensive commentary on social media following his comments and blog post on the topic of transgender people. ESPN is an inclusive company, Walt Disney Co. DISN, +0.00% -owned ESPN said in a statement. Curt Schilling has been advised that his conduct was unacceptable and his employment with ESPN has been terminated. ESPNs decision comes just one day after news Schilling shared a meme on his Facebook page which was anti-transgender in its content. It appeared to be in response to the North Carolina law which bars transgender people from using restrooms and locker rooms that do not correspond to their birth genders. Additionally, Schilling, who removed the post from his Facebook page, then wrote a blog post in which he doubled down on his controversial viewpoint. Curt Schilling (@gehrig38) April 19, 2016 A man is a man no matter what they call themselves, he wrote on his personal website. I dont care what they are, who they sleep with, mens room was designed for the penis, womens not so much. Now you need laws telling us differently? Pathetic.

Note to Curt... if you had only railed against Christians, you’d gotten a promotion.
What conduct would that be? Speaking the biological truth without profanity?
More of this country’s obsession with sexual deviants.
Time to consider a run for political office.
Mr. Schilling sounds like a stand-up guy to me— especially where use of the men’s room is concerned.

Some jobs are not worth it.
Except for Mr. Schilling.
I’d second that, but he would have to move out of the Commonwealth of MASSh*les to have a chance.
Why do the left love to label themselves and pro-whatever while labeling conservatives as anti-whatever?
Ive talked to long-time blue collar dems that are completely horrified at the partys position on this. I think maybe the leadership doesnt realize not just everyone is down with this ridiculous crap being considered some sort of civil rights struggle. They buy the gay thing to a point, but this is a bridge too far for a lot of them, at least for this cycle. A smart republican would hammer on this, make it the biggest issue you can.

I will say with all my heart that if I ever see a guy going into a woman’s bathroom or locker room where my daughter is changing or using then that guy will get a strong message and if that means being arrested and charged then so be it.
My duty as a dad is to protect my 15 year daughter first and foremost.
Marketwatch calls it “controversial” viewpoint. Imagine 15-20 years ago saying men should not use a woman’s bathroom would be “controversial”?
The left gathers up all fringe malcontents and psychopaths and throws them at us saying society is responsible for every damn thing wrong with them. BULLSHIT!!!
Boycotts don’t to seem to have much effect, but there is the urge to hurt ESPN and their sponsors. Report sports, stop the social re-engineering - or else.
What a damn shame the garbage that has been given us! When some f’d up individual can’t decide that day if he is a man or a women? When he has the right to wander into the man or womens restroom??? Liberalism is a mental disorder.
I detest the Red Sox but Curt Schilling has my support despite his past ties with the Red Sox Nation. I was on a Yankee baseball forum years ago where Curt Schilling participated in a very civil manner. He used a screen name and his true identity was known only to a few at the time who respected his wish for anonymity. (I learned from a friend who was a moderator on the forum.) Schilling seems to be a real good guy.
I know I will take my chances with a jury than let my 15 year old daughter be in the same bathroom or locker room with a guy who is saying he is a woman.
