As states and school districts grapple with laws or allowances around transgender bathroom use, one retail giant has made its stance public.
In a statement on its company website Tuesday, Target declared its commitment to “equality and equity.”
“Inclusivity is a core belief at Target,” the statement said. “Most relevant for the conversations currently underway, we welcome transgender team members and guests to use the restroom or fitting room facility that corresponds with their gender identity.”

Haven’t been to a Target or Walmart in over 15 years. Lowes, HEB, assorted gun stores, certain local shops, and Academy are the limit of my in town adventures. Haven’t been to a mall since the Bush I era.
I am amazed how just how fast our culture is changing.
Who in their right mind would think the average (man or) or woman would want to share bathrooms and dressing rooms?
Why do the “feelings” of a very small minority trump the will of the majority?
And more importantly, why isn’t there more resistance to these changes?
I believe I shouldn’t have to pay for anything I find at Target that I like.

I have shopped at Target in the past but never will again. It is unfathomable that women and children who will be in various states of undress will be subject to men roaming the dressing rooms and bathrooms. There have been enough instances of men with cameras trying to photograph up children’s and women’s dresses in department stores but now they are giving them free access to partially clothed women and vulnerable children. There have been times when I was in the dressing rooms at different stores and they were completely empty. This is the perfect scenario for a rapist and child molester. I will never ever step foot in Target again.
Target is toast.
Only a matter of time before a bathroom crasher gets capped.
Its a private company that can do what it wants. I am a private citizen who can do what I want. And it won’t be shopping at Target.

When I check out at Target, I can never tell the gender of the clerk.

IIRC they are very restrictive when it comes to employees displaying anything relating to religion or Christmas on they’re clothing and also do not allow Salvation Army bell ringers.........too many other options out there for me to patronize ‘em.
