What Really Happened During SCOTUS Amnesty Arguments?
Conservative Review ^ | 04/19/16 | Hans von Spakovsky

On a warm spring Monday in the nation’s capital, the future of American immigration policy and the limits on executive power were argued before the U.S. Supreme Court. The lawsuit was filed by 26 states (led by Texas) against President Barack Obama’s administrative amnesty program, and based on the questions asked by the justices, this case may very likely come down to a four-to-four split vote.

The states filed suit in December 2014 after President Obama announced his “Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents” (DAPA) program in November. It would grant “lawful presence” — the meaning of which was fiercely argued in the courtroom — to between four and five million illegal aliens. That number raised a laugh in the courtroom when in answer to a question about a prior case, U.S. Solicitor General Donald Verrilli said the older case was “a million miles from where we are now.” To which Justice Kennedy commented, “Well, it’s four million people from where we are now.”

Teas leaves, nothing but reading the tea leaves. However, Judge Napolitano was on Fox Business yesterday morning and raised this question: as the target beneficiaries of the Deferred Action for Parents are the parents of anchor babies, who are US citizens, will the USSC force the deportation of American citizens? I say anchor babies should not be citizens, but the courts say otherwise. What say you? The good Judge left me in a quandary.

Listen carefully: Fact: John Roberts illegally adopted two children from Ireland (can’t do so unless you are an Irish citizen) Fact: the New York Times brought this up and shut it down very quickly during Roberts’ confirmation hearing. Fact Roberts voted wrong twice on Obamacare and once on Gay “marriage.” Fact; The second time he voted wrong Scalia was bowled over and said Roberts had assured him he was voting right way 45 minutes before the announcement.
The phone call changed all that.
Roberts will vote against us on every important issue. Bank on it.

will the USSC force the deportation of American citizens?

No just their parents. Their parents have a choice of leaving them behind with legal relatives, or as wards of the state. Hard choices like this must me made. If these choices are not made our borders, sovereignty and constitutional law mean nothing.

My son was born in England and had English and American Citizenship. I did not have English Citizenship and in fact worked their illegally for a few months until I had work permits and legal residency. The English government could at any moment put me and my wife on a plane back to the United States. If such had of happened my son would have come with me.

I would also like to note that those anchor babies will have the absolute right to return to the United States as adults and work here. Although they may be go back to their parents country, they will have the advantages of American Citizens because they are. ps I am married to a Mexican National now a United States Citizen. She has multiple degrees for Texas Universities and was an engineer. Her father paid out of country tuition (higher than out of state) when she went to UT El Paso. It took her brother 17 years to become an American Citizen because he did it the legal way. Those anchor babies can wait 17 years just like my brother in law. The only thing wrong with our laws is that the Federal Government picks and chooses only the laws they like to enforce. They are methodically destroying The Constitution, State Rights and sanity.

This was a really good overview of the arguments.

Imagine a Republican president doing this with some issue the tards are crazy over. Iran-Contra comes to mind.

Re: John Roberts -

I am convinced, as are you, that he’s been blackmailed. As such, I fervently hope that President Trump or President Cruz “encourage” him to resign for “health reasons” or “to spend more time with my family” - and he’s replaced with a Constitutional conservative along the lines of Justice Scalia. Heck, maybe Trump nominates Cruz!

Just let’s be rid of Roberts. I am REALLY ticked that the Bush Administration nominated him, and carried through with it, knowing that Roberts could be blackmailed. This set the stage for O’care and a whole host of other extra-Constitutional rulings. The harm done to our Republic is immeasurable.

If we had an opposition party, or even one really courageous member of that party, they would have been in court the day after he started illegally legalizing illegal aliens in 2012.
It took the states responding to an even bigger more egregious turning of the law on its head for this to reach the Supreme Court.
Our government is assisting fraudulently documented foreigners evade our laws.
