Why Cruz Could Beat Clinton

Last November, I spent a week in Kentucky to cover one of the most-loathed Republicans on the ballot that year. Matt Bevin, an ambitious, tea-party-oriented businessman who had challenged Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell in a 2014 Senate primary, was now the GOP’s gubernatorial standard-bearer in the biggest race in the country. McConnell’s advisers tried to prevent Bevin from winning a divided primary. After he secured the nomination, Republican insiders openly dismissed his chances of winning the general election; they were exasperated that he never listened to the party establishment for advice. Democrats believed the preelection polls showing their nominee, experienced state Attorney General Jack Conway, with a comfortable lead.

Defying conventional wisdom, Bevin won in a landslide. Despite having weak approval ratings, he prevailed because his Democratic opponent’s numbers were even worse. And he has achieved some early conservative governing successes in a state where Democrats had dominated.

Ted Cruz is Matt Bevin, on a national level.

Yes he is. And that is why Senator Cruz will soon be known as President Cruz.

All I can say is I would never vote for the POS. I’ll write in Trump or go 3rd party.

The same race that then VP of the NSRC Ted Cruz allocated $250,000 to Mitch’s campaign?

Liar globalist cheater spoiler Ashley Cruz
has alienated his possible voters
who will NEVER vote for the 110% untrustable
oily liar lawyer. NEVER.

Nor will he get crossover votes.

Only Mr. Trump can win.

Makes sense. Trump inspires his followers to only believe in him, the person, rather than an underlying philosophy.

The difference is, the establishment was against Matt. That's the only reason he won - the article is clear about that.

The only reason Cruz could enter the race as a serious run was that he was anti-establishment. "Anti-establishment' was Cruz's version of Obama's Black.

Had O turned white in the middle of his run against Hillary or even Mitt, no win.

Had Matt Bevin started sleeping with Mitch, there would have been no win.

Cruz got in and was taken seriously because he wasn't something that he now is. That's been exposed.

“30.86% of all eligible voters voted in the election”

It was an offyear election. Even Rand Paul beat him by 10 points. Rand went on to make ths same cruzer mistakes in his time in the senate.

Conway has proven to be a terrible candidate.

Why wasn’t the bimbo leftwing mime knocked out as well?

The only way Cruz could beat Clinton is if all the states vote like Colorado and Wyoming...No public votes....

Actually it has more to do with knowing what the gopE is and why they are supporting cruz. Trump just represents actually doing what the gopE says they are going to do every election, only to do just the opposite once the election is over. Exactly like cruz did with TPA and the corker bill and now trying to disenfranchise Americans. Trump will get that wall built, will enforce the immigration laws, level the playing field when it comes to trade and eliminate government waste. The same things cruz says he will do, but we all know goldman sachs will never let him do.

Yes all those elites are running to Cruz. Ben Sasse says he voted for Cruz and won't endorses him. Cruz still maintains McConnell is a liar, which he is, and knows by not backing down he is losing endorsements.

The ONLY people who think Cruz is GOPe are Trump supporters. Should tell you something.
