Republicans across the state of Colorado gathered at the 2,917 precincts and participated in caucuses to select delegates at the county and district levels. Those delegates then elected national delegates — three delegates and three alternate delegates for each of the seven districts, and 13 delegates to represent the state — who were involved at the Colorado GOP state convention.

Were those local delegates required to vote exactly as their constituency voted???

No, they are required to represent their precinct. Just like congressional representatives represent their districts. The delegate are not GOPe selected as you said but are local mom and pop republicans - true grass roots people.

So once again, I am calling you on your lie that the delegates are selected by the GOPe.

That shows three steps after the populace voted before the delegates for the national count were selected....

“...The process of electing the ever-important national delegates was ultimately left up to Colorado Republican party insiders and staunch activists, thus leaving out a lot of other Republican voices...”—Alexi McCammond

You can call me a liar all you want...It still doesn’t change that Colorado voters were pushed to the wayside....

Colorado voters pushed to the wayside? How?

Any registered republican was WELCOMED at the precinct
Any registered republican can run for precinct captain (I know, I’ve been one - 2012)
Any registered republican could have run for a delegate position

Again, how as ANY republican pushed to the wayside?
Do you have evidence of registered republicans being turned away from the caucus?
Do you have evidence of registered republicans not being allowed to run or vote for precinct captain?
Do you have evidence of registered republicans not being allowed to run for state delegate?

No? Then you are again telling lies. At least be man enough to state that they are your opinions and don’t represent them as facts.

Again, with the lies. And yes, repeating someone else’s lie is still a lie,

The 3,900+ state delegates are made up of the grass roots mom and pop precinct and district delegates. It is these grass roots people who vote for the slate of 37 National convention delegates.

Of course it’s opinion...When, in my opinion, the people are NOT voting for the candidate, rather for a delegate, who then selects a delegate to vote for yet another delegate to vote for the candidate, it has taken away the DIRECT voice of the people..

It is called a republican form of government where power is invested with the people who select representatives to advocate for their interests. It is no different than our national system of representation through congressional elections.

For what reason did CO decide to use their convoluted caucus method for the Republican presidential caucus, but then use this method for all other offices???

So you are saying that all the states that use direct popular vote to select who wins the delegates are different from our national system of representation?

I swear these people act just like liberals. This is the exact same non-reason that fills the pages of DummieUnderground.

I believe you are projecting. What Trump has accomplished here is just how corrupt the nominating system really is. Had the establishment gotten their candidate, like in year's past with Romney and McCain, non of this would have been exposed.

Since the establishment doesn't have who they want, Trump has been able to expose all the corruption in the process.

So you are projecting and it is the anti-Trump side that is acting like crazy liberals as corruption has no place in principled conservatism as well as freedom and liberty. The fact is, the anti-Trump people are on the SAME SIDE as the crazy liberals when you take the time to look at the whole situation.

You do realize that in Colorado, when the National GOPe asked them last August to change their rules, the Colorado stood up to them and said 'No', right?

What Trump has accomplished here is just how corrupt the nominating system really is.

No he isn't doing that. When a state's delegate selection system favors Trump, he keeps his mouth shut. Only when he loses a state does he say anything about the system being corrupt. Trump knew well in advance that this is how Colorado chose its delegates yet said nothing. Only after he lost (due to his own campaign's incompetence) did he come up with these false charges about corruption. Trump lies. He is pathological about it. Trump lost Colorado because he was a no-show. He didn't care, just as he doesn't care in Wyoming.

If you have evidence that corruption was involved with Cruz's Colorado win, then let's see it. But I am sick of the lies about ballots and delegates and the GOPe calling the shots here.

I am saying that each state gets to decide for it self how it wants to select it’s delegates. Colorado has chosen to follow the model that the nation uses and is similar to the electoral college.

And other states are free to decide how they select delegates. I dont complain about their preferred method and I expect the same in return.

Colorado moved to a party-run presidential caucus for the 2004 election to save money. It saved the state of Colorado millions. And those rules have been in place since 2004.

Colorado’s method for the republican primary is nowhere near what the nation uses...The nation uses the popular vote to decide who the electors vote for...

Colorado’s popular voters were two steps backward from this method...

Keep drinking the koolaid there Hoodat.

YES, Trump has exposed the corrupt nominating process, not only in Colorado but the whole darn thing and this was BECAUSE the establishment didn’t get who they wanted.

They are NOT lies, they are talking points and propaganda you speak of here, which so many of you have fallen for, time and time again.

And who does this all benefit? Why the whole darn corrupt DC establishment in Washington. It’s true, you anti-Trump people are on the same side as the GOPe and the crazy liberals when you take the time to look at the whole situation so I was correct on your projection.

Quit drinking the koolaid and you might understand.

Colorado’s method is similar to Congress. The people elect their representatives who represent their precincts.

Again, if you want to do something different in your state, fine. But don’t tell us how to run our state party. We are tired of elitist who think they know better telling us what to do.
