Paul Ryan: I do not want, nor will I accept GOP nomination
CNBC ^ | April 12, 2016 | Everett Rosenfeld

House of Representatives Speaker Paul Ryan said Tuesday that he would absolutely not be drafted as a presidential candidate.

As businessman Donald Trump, Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas and Ohio Gov. John Kasich vie to win the GOP's nomination, many pundits had speculated that Ryan could have entered the fray during a brokered Republican National Convention in July.

"I do not want, nor will I accept the nomination," Ryan said. "Period. End of story."

“We have too much work to do in the House to allow this speculation to swirl or have my motivations questioned,” Ryan said at the headquarters of the Republican National Committee on Capitol Hill. “Let me be clear: I do not want, nor will I accept the Republican nomination.”

“I simply believe that if you want to be the nominee – to be the president – you should actually run for it. I chose not to do this,” the Wisconsin Republican and 2012 GOP vice presidential nominee said. “Therefore, I should not be considered. Period. End of story.”

I’m sure Linda Gramnesty would be very happy to be drafted!

LOL!

http://www.nytimes.com/2016/04/13/us/politics/paul-ryan-to-ruleout-run-for-president-aide-says.html?_r=0

When it was pointed out to Mr. Ryan that he also denied his desire to become speaker last year, Mr. Ryan said it was “apples and oranges.”

“Being speaker of the House is a far cry from being president of the United States,” he said, noting that his Republican colleagues chose him for the job.

But he did add, “Not running does not mean I am going to disappear.”

but, come convention time, and he’s asked, he’ll jump in. He wants to be the White Knight who saves the gope by slaying the evil Trumpesaurus who has been stomping thru their playground.

This shows to me that Paul Ryan is truly sick.

All that this does is draw attention to the idea of Ryan as a presidential candidate. He is really needy for attention.

He had two ads of him that looked like he was entering the presidential race. Now he is trying to be cute in denying his intentions in a very high profile way, but reminding people that he also repeatedly denied interest in being Speaker, just before running for it.

What a sick and needy person.

The SOB is too clever by half — he said the GOP nominee should be someone who “participated in the primary.” He did *NOT* say it should be one of the three candidates who currently remain in the race. IOW, Ryan wants Little Jebbie back!

Mr. Ryan, since hopefully your going to be Primaried, we won’t have to worry about you after Aug 2016.

He can thank his “friends” like Scott Walker and John Boehner for floating this ridiculous idea.

Ryan also claimed he would fight Obama’s agenda yet he funded it. He’s a liar of the first order and the very epitome of Republican weakness.

Yes, or possibly Walker, given they both are from WI, as is the RNC Chairman, Lather-Rinse-Repeat Priebus.
