Billionaire financier George Soros has warned that the European Union is in mortal danger of collapse if it doesn’t agree a massive cash injection to fix the refugee crisis.
In an essay written for the New York Review of Books, Soros also claimed that a humanitarian catastrophe is unfolding in Greece.
“The asylum seekers are desperate. Legitimate refugees must be offered a reasonable chance to reach their destinations in Europe,” the investor wrote in the publication.

The European countries are already close to financial collapse because of the enormous amounts that must be spent to support invading Muslims.
The plan is further weaken their economies. Then go after the U.S.
Soros supports Hillary Clinton for president in the U.S.
If she wins look for a massive government efforts to bring in hundreds of thousands of Muslims and have taxpayers support them.
Soros makes his money by scaring people.
The best thing they could do is kick the Muslims out.

But that’s Soros’ M.O. — he helps create crises and then financially benefits from them.
I have a better fix to the refugee "crisis". In Operation Solomon, Israel airlifted over 14,000 Ethiopian Jews to Israel in 36 hours. If a small country can do that, imagine how many illegals could be airlifted back to Africa/Syria by Europe. Send them home, without exception, and they will not bother to come back. Besides, ISIS will have a lot more trouble taking and holding territory if the people have an incentive to defend their homes instead of being rewarded for running away.

"Legitimate" refugees? The article is not specific about what constitutes "legitimate" but the recognition that there are illegitimate ones is something about which European liberals have been in fierce denial since the beginning of the affair.
Not that I'd harbor any suspicion toward a pristine character such as Soros, but this massive infusion of cash he's calling for - where does he intend it to go, and how many companies specializing in cyclone fencing has he invested in?
The idea of a United States of Europe is a dumb one. It had hoped to turn several European countries into subservient states, like in the USA. It has worked up to a point, but is in process of failing because each European country, except Belgium, has its own identity, culture and language. The ordinary folk, while addicted to the free goodies from the government, don’t like their culture destroyed by a bunch of bureaucrats in Brussels.
How do determine a "legitimate" refugee from a would be terrorist?
In what sane world does the refugee get to decide their destination? They go where they are permitted to go. They go where they are accepted. But then the Western world is no longer sane, is it?

The economy isn’t just people and jobs.
An economy also needs roads and housing for people in jobs.
