Manafort said while everybody was obsessing about CO this past weekend, the Trump campaign took all the committee spots in MI and AL and was set to do the same in NV.

It's about stinking time Trump went full GOPe and tried to win. Now he is the establishment candidate. The ultimate politician. Now he has a chance to win the nomination.

You were on a roll until that last few phrases when you went off the rails into exaggerated hysterics.

I was trying to tell my buddy, a Cruz supporter, about human nature and how Trump owned NY. I told him that Trump taking NY in a general election will happen and that the dem’s know it. I told him that if you’re a working class stiff anywhere in NY state that you’d vote for Trump, a true NYer, over some carpet bagger with the personality of a door. Trump will carry NYC and the state and the dems know it.

I agree that it is meaningless. That is why I used the word “implies”. Polls looking beyond the contemporary question are usually meaningless. You have to know who the nominees are after the dust has settled before you can get to a point where polling questions are relevant.

27% belief among Pubbies is a significant enough of a factor, however, to want to try to anticipate what troubles it could be signalling.

I beg to differ. If Trump chose Bush as his running mate today, and said he had to do it to WIN. He would lose VERY FEW of his supporters. They want to WIN and to "shake things up"

If the GOPe had gotten behind Trump early - none of his supporters would back him.

That is not true! We would have thought that it was a miracle and would be even more encouraged because at least the Republicans wouldn’t be resisting returning to the Constitutional Republic we thought we had.

Kasich would be a difficult pill to swallow. Rubio is a neophyte, and if guided correctly can be a strong force. Currently he is malleable, got screwed by schumer the schemer, needs to develop a set of his own ideas. Will be interesting to watch over the next 15-20 years.

if kasich was picked, I would still support Trump,, but would hope Kasich would be delegated to sweep the floors each pm, and maybe pass out the mail to the secret service.

Kasich might help in bringing Ohio to the R side.

Jeb can't bring anything but misery to any side.

Wow. That’s impressive and interesting. Unique situation with NY being the home state of both (sort of).

I’m a Trump supporter, as can be seen from my posts. Nevertheless, he’s been his own worst enemy in the last couple of weeks by getting into ridiculous snits with Cruz and, to a smaller degree, the GOPe. Instead, he needs to focus all of his invective on the Witch and the DemonCraps. That way he won’t need even to try to change his basic persona and he’ll get a lot more support from Republicans who want to do nothing more than destroy the Witch and the DemonCraps. He’ll also begin healing internal wounds and start bringing the party together for its overriding task of defeating the Witch.

I believe Trump does best when he focuses on immigration, refugees, tax reform, military, trade, jobs, national debt, etc.

But if the E had gotten behind Trump early on, they would have had to compromise their platform of cheap labor express, being pc, paying down the debt, etc. Never happen.
