Donald Trump's tiny violin
Washington Examiner ^ | April 12, 2016 | Washington Examiner

If the Republican primary process were designed to produce an exactly proportional result based on voters' choice rather than a winner, the party would have been doomed to a contested convention almost from the start.

Donald Trump, who has failed more than any other GOP presidential front-runner in recent history to unite the party behind him, would have no chance of securing the nomination, for he has won only 37 percent of primary votes so far.

Keep this in mind as Trump gripes about how his opponent Ted Cruz secured all 37 delegates at the Colorado convention last weekend. The process is certainly imperfect, but it made clear which candidate knows how to run and organize things and which one doesn't.

Wherever strange or arcane Republican state party rules have benefited Trump, such as when he secured all the pledged delegates in one state while winning only 33 percent of the vote, he's just fine with that. But when the rules hurt him, or he fails to learn or execute a strategy to exploit them, he whines about unfairness. Pretty unimpressive.

So Romney and McCain “united the party behind” them?

Here’s the point where I consider that half or more of the population is on mind-altering drugs, prescribed or otherwise.

Yep. Trump needs to release his delegates so they can vote the will of the people.

I don’t know how these people consider themselves journalists. They’re all just political hacks.

Trump’s latest tantrum is over Colorado, where Ted Cruz just swept all 34 of the state’s available delegates. Trump is calling the results “totally unfair” and on Twitter he asked: “How is it possible that the people of the great State of Colorado never got to vote in the Republican Primary?” If Trump is so concerned about states’ not holding primaries, perhaps he should renounce his victory at Nevada’s caucuses.

Trump the Sore Loser (Again)

Game. Set. Match.

“Donald Trump, who has failed more than any other GOP presidential front-runner in recent history to unite the party behind him, “

Well too bad RINOS, and Cuckservatives plan for the latter to lose gracefully and the former to win effortlessly, just didn’t pan out.

The fact that Trump so easily wrecked your fantasy shows how both of you were nothing but a couple of losers doing some s*itty stage act.

Trump has 37 percent of primary votes so far but has 45% of the delegates. Not FAIR!

So tell us the name of the “will of the people”.

(Oh this is going to be rich)

Hey that’s cool.

We will just remind you not to ask when Hillary gets 120% of votes in some places.

We will just tell you:

“Game. Set. Match.”

And not to be such a “sore loser”.

LOL! Tiny violins need tiny hands to play them!

You Cruzbots crack me up....so blind to the facts...

Cruz is playing by the rules as they are laid out....nothing wrong there....

EXCEPT:

The complaint is that the rules are unfair to the electorate and the game is effectively rigged by the establishment.....

Without the establishment push and some shenanigans for Cruz in Colorado, Cruz would not have been nearly as effective.....

The head of the GOPe in Colorado tweeted “congrats! we stopped Trump” shortly after the Colorado tally was counted... Then, the tweet was almost immediately recalled....

Since when on this forum do we cheer the Establishment cheating, lying and the effective neutering of the electorate in the process???

It is really strange how the ‘few’ consider GOPe rules benefits ‘we the people’... All the GOPe is managing to do is the give credence to the liberals claim that the GOPe is a closed country club of bigots... LORD, help the stupid.

So the Times is saying that Trump is doing to the republican party what Barack Obama has done to the entire country of America?

Trump will just have to work harder if he expects to fill Obama's shoes.

When was the last time we started with 17 candidates in the primary?

When was the last time the GOPe had its power threatened?

Unity comes through victory. If the process ends in the hierarchy selecting who they like, it won't end well.

... for he has won only 37 percent of primary votes so far.

As opposed to R. Cruz, who has gotten 80-90% of the voted cast so far?

Oh wait, he hasn't, in fact he has gotten far less than 37%.

Wonder what the per cents are next to each other?

Cruz has only won 4 primaries where people can actually go and vote.
The rest are caucuses and shenanigans.

Easy enough for the short-fingered vulgarian.
