BRUSSELS--Belgian police sent an internal note around in recent days warning that a terror suspect arrested three days after the Brussels attacks was carrying material that could be used to infect people with fatal illnesses like typhoid and cholera, a police official confirmed. But prosecutors separately dismissed the threat that the material posed. *snip* The note said Mr. Ameroud was carrying in his rucksack "a plastic bag containing three identity cards surrounded by excrement and animal testicles." The note said that it was known on jihadist Internet forums that "if you mix a combination of excrement, of water and of animal meat for 10 days in a dark place, this can create a toxic reaction."

"In the case of unprotected contact with this substance, one can be infected by some virus or some bacteria provoking illness like typhoid, tetanus, colibacillosis, botulism, cholera or listeria," the note continued.
