Earlier this week The Gateway Pundit predicted that Donald Trump would win the 1,237 delegates needed to clinch the Republican nomination before the convention in July.
In our conservative estimate we even gave Ted New York Values Cruz 35 delegates in New York which is impossible at this point. Trump leads New York by 52% in the latest polling and could sweep all delegates in the Empire State. We also predicted Ted Cruz will run out of delegates by April 26 unless he continues to steal them from Trump. Today Donald Trumps political strategist reported the same news. Trump will amass the 1,237 delegates needed to win the nomination before the July convention.
Reuters reported:
Donald Trumps new top political strategist predicted on Friday the Republican presidential front-runner would amass the 1,237 delegates needed to clinch his partys nomination well before the Republican National Convention in July.
Veteran campaign tactician Paul Manafort was chosen by Trump on Thursday to oversee a fractious nomination process that many Republicans expect may not yield a clear winner before the convention.
Manafort said on CNNs New Day program that rival Ted Cruz, the U.S. senator from Texas, will not be able to dent Trumps delegate lead before Californias June 7 primary.
The reality is: Ted Cruz has seen his best day, Manafort said. The reality is: this convention process will be over with sometime in June, probably June 7, and itll be apparent to the world that Trump is over that 1,237 number.

Looks like he will comfortably win the nomination.

Probably not the ones you have insulted, demeaned and cursed to hell.
Probably not those ones.. but hey, who needs 'em right?
Not me Cruz all the way, I will not support Trump until he has the nomination, he should win New York but may not win it by 50% and California is very close and getting closer
Nate Silver has Cruz at 60% to win California. he also has trump only getting 1175 delegates.
The fat lady is warming up and getting ready to sing.
Article II, Section 1, Clause 2: Each State shall appoint, in such Manner as the Legislature thereof may direct, a Number of Electors, equal to the whole Number of Senators and Representatives to which the State may be entitled in the Congress: but no Senator or Representative, or Person holding an Office of Trust or Profit under the United States, shall be appointed an Elector.
12th Amendment: The Electors shall meet in their respective states, and vote by ballot for President and Vice-President, one of whom, at least, shall not be an inhabitant of the same state with themselves; ..."
The margin of error in that Field poll is 4%. Trump could be behind or he could be ahead in California.
Giuliani has endorsed Trump and I was surprised. Trump is getting some prominent support now. When I make choices I always check to see who all is in the camp of the candidate. I also like to see it is who is howling against the candidate the most - that is often my tie breaker.
If he can get over 50% in NY and take ALL of those delegates...He will all but eliminate any mathematical chance for Cruz (not quite...but so close as to not matter).
If that happens, IMHO, Cruz should very soon thereafter throw in with Trump, unite the party, deliver a body slam to the GOPe, and deliver a ticker that will absolutely win in November.
I am a Cruz supporter...but this is what we need to do to keep our eye on the two real goals. Which are:
1) Defeat the dems and prevent a 3rd Obama term.
2) Deliver that body slam to the GOPe.
Cruz can make that happen and should do so as soon as his mathematical path to the nomination is ended...it would be best for the nation.
Regarding 2ndDiv’s infatuation with an unknown poll:

But we're ok, Jesus told me it was cool to vote for Cruz.
Can I get an LOL?
I really like your post.
Thank you so much! I knew it!
CRUZ supporters are often surprises at his support of North American Union with no borders and open trade and migration between Canada US and Mexico. Or the support the loss of US sovereignty!
Trump supporter are for making AMERICA strong with borders and taking care of our people first

or the poll could be complete BS...
Trump tends to under preform, Cruz tends to over preform the polls. I kinda wonder if it’s people who say to the pollsters “trump” to be on the cool band wagon but then vote Cruz in the booth.
Keep in mind this is Cruz’ week.
This is Friday and Wisconsin was just this past Tuesday. They are still hungover and will not be cognizant of reality until after the weekend.
Cruz will be doing victory laps on all the Sunday talk shows. I don’t watch them, I never watch them as there is no TV programming in my home. But I know that he will be toasted through the weekned.
Smile at the Cruz supporters. They are going to be a sorry bunch before too long.
Rudy may yet endorse Trump, but so far he hasn’t. He is voting for him, though.
