According to the article Ford is paying its’ US union workers approximately $60.00/hr (including benefits) versus $8.00/hr for the mexican workers. Ford is moving the Focus line to Mexico but at the same time creating two new lines in the US (new Ranger line and a new Bronco). No jobs are being eliminated in the US. Ford’s getting essentially 7.5 Mexican workers to 1 US union worker.
Our next cars will be Toyotas. 76% American Made. That’s better than Mexican Made, no matter how you slice it.
Boycotts are difficult to pull off, BUT there are clearly MANY, quality, value priced alternatives to Ford.
Another reason I refuse to buy Ford products.
Trump should be taxed 50% more when he builds a building in another country. He should be patriotic and build all his buildings in the U.S.
