Based on Icelands recent history they have every right to be mad about politicians doing anything with foreign banks, let alone using offshore accounts for tax evasion.

We pay, they spend. It’s more or less double dipping for political leaders to avoid paying taxes. Same applies to their spouses, after all, who has more access?

After Arafat died, the media revealed that he had stashed around $2 billion (IIRC) in various banks in France, etc.

Of course, the media never speculated as to where the money came from. WE knew it came from the 'donations' of the UN, Europe, America, etc. WE, or rather some of our tax dollars, were supposed to help the Palestinians, but Arafat was taking his cut from the top.

Rush L has commented that the daughter of Venezuela's late president, Chavez, is worth $billions, and it isn't from a day job.
