Oddly, it was a local decision by the local school board....not to back up the teacher. As soon as the regional guys get wind of this...they will reverse the episode. The thing is....with duality written into the Koran, once you decide to live among westerners and non-Muslims, you are granted a waiver from various Muslim habits. For some reason, these punk kids weren’t explained the duality rule.

Orthodox Jewish men also do not touch or shake hands with women they are not related to. This has generally not posed a problem in American culture. This is a reasonable tolerance we should be able to handle. It has no effect on business or educational relationships to not touch another person.
