I just had a meeting this afternoon with the Principal and one of my son’s 8th grade teachers over this very thing. I threatened to sue her if she didn’t back off and the Board of Education along with her. It isn’t a bluff.
We’ve also organized a slate of candidates to run for School Board this fall that will put control back into the hands of conservatives. There are PAC’s out there who have lots of cash to help swing and support these kinds of elections. I donate to them regularly.

The first and most important step is not to cower when and fear teacher retribution. Most parents bitch and complain about teacher/school behavior designed to churn out good little leftists, but never do anything to stop it. Our efforts today will certainly temper their enthusiasm to do it again in the future...at least for the time being. If more parents found the sand necessary to yell STOP! at the collectivists, things would improve immediately and dramatically.

Thanks, but there are a lot of others out there like me. When they stand up for doing the right thing, they need to be supported in every way possible. Our group does just that and we back each other up no matter where the school situation might be. The School Board is tired of hearing from us and we've found a pit bull attorney (with kids in the same system) who is eager to help. We live in a fairly conservative area so it is easier. I feel for people in American cities who are trying to do the same.

All it takes is a little leadership and it has been amazing, and reassuring, to see the many places it comes from. We thought we were alone at first when this started 5 years ago but we have a mailing list in the thousands now and we have been forcing policy for almost two years. The Superintendent decided to retire early because she doesn't have carte blanche any longer. If we win the board in November, things are going to radically change here, for the better, and change quickly.

We live in a fairly conservative area so it is easier. I feel for people in American cities who are trying to do the same.
