Thanks, but there are a lot of others out there like me. When they stand up for doing the right thing, they need to be supported in every way possible. Our group does just that and we back each other up no matter where the school situation might be. The School Board is tired of hearing from us and we've found a pit bull attorney (with kids in the same system) who is eager to help.

All it takes is a little leadership and it has been amazing, and reassuring, to see the many places it comes from. We thought we were alone at first when this started 5 years ago but we have a mailing list in the thousands now and we have been forcing policy for almost two years. The Superintendent decided to retire early because she doesn't have carte blanche any longer. If we win the board in November, things are going to radically change here, for the better, and change quickly.

We live in a fairly conservative area so it is easier. I feel for people in American cities who are trying to do the same.
