Ted Cruz Admits to Kimmel He May Like Obama Better Than Trump
Daily Beast ^ | March 30, 2016 | Matt Wilstein

A mostly uncomfortable conversation with Jimmy Kimmel led Ted Cruz to admit that he might actually like President Barack Obama more than Donald Trump.

After a break, Kimmel finally asked Cruz for his thoughts on Donald Trump. “Is he the person you dislike most of anyone in America?” the host asked. As Cruz started to equivocate, Kimmel amended his question: “Who do you like better, Obama or Trump?”

“I dislike Obama’s policies more,” Cruz replied, “but Donald—Donald is a unique individual.” Referring to a bit earlier in the show, the candidate added, “If I were in my car and getting ready to reverse and saw Donald in the backup camera? I’m not confident which pedal I’d push.”

if true report,
unbelievably stupid statement
perhaps the worst of the entire campaign season

it looks more and more like the GOP is going to elect Hillary (just like the GOP elected Obama twice)

For the first time in his life. Cruz is getting some attention. After all these years of people hating him, he has found a little popularity, and can’t handle it. He’s still a despicable human being.

Clearly, Trump loves America.

Clearly, Obama does not.

Cruz is on the wrong side.

Seems clear to me. Cruz would kill Trump if he saw him in his “backup camera”.

He is much more tempered in his criticism of Obama and never says a bad word about Hillary.

Yes, I am a dope. I support Cruz, but will vote for Trump in the general if he is nominated.

Sorry that FReepers disgust you.

You sure couldn't prove by anything Cruz has said, that he likes Trump's policies more.

He hasn't had one decent thing to say about Trump's policies.

And to state that he might run the guy over with his car? Well, that's just vintage Ted this year. One of his most visual and vocal supporters said he'd stab Trump and not stop. Then Ted campaigned more with him.

Yikes.

I saw that interview. It was a fun interview. Ted Cruz was funny and totally at ease.

He was right about Trump. Trump has treated him worse personally than Obama.

Yes, Obama’s policies are worse but I don’t blame him for disliking Trump.

I can’t stand him myself and he hasn’t insulted my family.

It’s different when Ted does it.

It’s now honorable to team up with Romeny, Rove, Priebus, McConnell, Rubio, the Bushes...

The problem for you people is ... that Cruz can handle it and he is handling it beautifully.

If you had seen the interview you would know that it was a plus for Ted.

He was likable, totally at ease and had a fun interview.
