GOP Establishment Grabs Delegates in Tennessee
Breitbart ^ | April 2, 2016 | Michael Patrick Leahy

NASHVILLE, Tennessee — The State Executive Committee of the Tennessee Republican Party approved a controversial slate of establishment-friendly Trump and Cruz delegates in a vote on Saturday.

The exact final vote count was unclear, but sources tell Breitbart News that 40 of the 66 members of the State Executive Committee voted for the slate, while between 25 voted against the slate.

What has infuriated Trump and Cruz supporters alike is that several of the Trump delegates appointed today have gone on the record as vigorous opponents of Donald Trump.

As the Rocky Top political blog posted today:

At least two people on the establishment’s slate who would be assigned to serve as “Trump delegates” have trashed Trump on social media.

They are SEC members Melissa Gay and Ken Gross.

There are believed to be other “Trojan Horse” delegates who will try to be selected to represent Trump/Cruz, but who will instead vote with the party establishment on rules and credentials, etc. to hurt Cruz’ and Trump’s efforts at the convention.

Some of the Cruz delegates named today were also clearly not Cruz supporters.

Could the convention change the vote requirements prior to the 1st ballot?

I guess Trump’s people are not so smart. They certainly do not know that there is more to a nominating campaign than flying around and holding rallies. The delegates that fill a convention hall every four years are 90% the same people each convention. They may be required to vote for Trump on a first ballot, but there is no allegience to him if he comes up short. If Trump loses WI there is no way he wins the nomination. If he is five votes delegates short, he will be tossed aside.

If Trump runs third party we end up with the same situation we had with Perot. Dems win.

Rubio is NO longer in the contest, question is who gets his delegates? Since they were elected/attached to the candidate in TN.

And how many Trump/Cruz supporters will not vote if the GOPe chooses a nominee?

I suspect all of them ... Dems win anyway ...

Yes. TN went for Trump. - I voted for Cruz in primary; but
have since had second thoughts. If GOPe does a number on
us; I’m out. They seem to want Hitler-y to win.

Lying, Cheating and Stealing is the ONLY WAY the Republican Establishment can win.

They cannot win at the ballot box so the worthless b@stards have to lie, cheat and steal to win.

If the Republican Establishment is successfully allowed to steal, cheat, and lie, then it will be a massive LANDSLIDE victory for the DEMOCRATS in November.

Say hello to President Hillary, and you can thank the Republican GOPe.

For the record if they successfully steal it, then I many people are now pledging to vote against Republicans at every level from local to national.

At this stage, who cares.

I would never ever vote for another Republican so long as I should live. A new party would need to be created, so that I could vote for those people.

I find a bullet to the temple (the Democrats) to be much more desirable than painful slow poison (the Republicans).

Our people recoil against actually taking it to the streets. But, historically, that has been required.

I believe these delegates are still committed to Trump and Cruz on the first ballot but would be free after that to do what they want, or what they agreed to do to be put on the slate, with no loyalty to Trump or Cruz.

The fix is in. If Trump does not win on the first ballot, they will pick some designated loser to throw the election to Hillery.
