I’m guessing a few women’s bank accounts just got some big deposits.

Amanda Carpenter’s tweets make it look like something was going on, don’t know about the rest of them.

5 Reasons Why the Ted Cruz Sex Scandal Story Won't Go Away

6. Because everybody keeps giving this nonsense legs by posting about it.

The only time the Enquirer is right about something is by accident. When this is factually confirmed then we have an issue to discuss. Until then it's nothing more than a tabloid story, and we need to concentrate on real issues.

IMHO.

Ted is a lawyer and could sue the National Enquirer. He could end up as rich as Hulk Hogan. Question is why doesn’t he.

Stephanie Aken, if you think there’s nothing to the allegations then don’t worry about it.

But some people don’t think it passes the smell test. Much like the JFK assassination, TWA 800 explosion, and 9/11 Commission report. That feeling that something just doesn’t add up.

Doesn’t matter anyway, Steph, because there’s plenty of other policy reasons Ted just doesn’t pass muster.

Perhaps he gave a non-denial denial and has carried himself as a sanctimonious preacher during the campaign. Many people are skeptical of the televangelist persona adopted by Cruz.

First off, It’s most likely true. (You know, smoke, fire, etc. Zipper problems are not exactly unknown amongst politicos, anyway.)

After a couple of spins around the track, you get to be able to detect liars. That’s just a fact.

Yeah, he’s smart.

Constitutionalist???? Define “a natural-born citizen” for the class!!!!! Gimmie a (bleeping) break!!

Then there’s all the Illegals, H 1B’s, banking fraudsters, phoney “free (!) trade deals”............................

You're going to have a difficult time convincing some people that there are women that would share a room at the La Quinta with him that aren't getting paid for it.

The primary reason that I think that it will not die is because Cruz has a well established reputation for behaving lecherously around women which started early. Both of Ted’s parents had problems with alcohol. His dad abandoned the family when Ted was small. He had a bad childhood with the lack of a father figure at a critical time in his development which appears to have left him somewhat socially awkward around women.

Clinton had a similar upbringing, the difference is that he was graced with good looks and a certain presence that many women seem to find appealing. Ted just comes across creepy.

Getting sidetracked... I grew up in rural setting just outside of town. We had a bunch of “banty” chickens that we let run around the place. In chicken culture one rooster basically gets all the hens and the rest of the boys take whatever they can get. So we had these smaller “banty” roosters chasing robins around the yard and exhibiting other strange behaviors. At one time one of them was obsessed with my little brother; every time he would go outside this rooster would follow him around.

Ted reminds me of those lonely little “banty” roosters. The fact that he and Heidi lived apart for the first 7 years of their marriage while he was a young man makes me feel sorry for him. The fact that like both of his parents and his sister, he has had some well documented issues with alcohol makes me think it is unlikely he didn’t chase women outside of his marriage at least during the time while he was not living with is wife.

The story has run itself out, except for those who cling to the false hope that someway, somehow, some little detail can be sufficiently manipulated to keep that narrative alive a little longer.

Trump and Cruz between them have essentially 100% of FR support. Cruz and Trump agree far more than 80% of the time (see my tagline from Ronald Reagan). They should be friends and allies, and we should treat both of them as such.

Not a Cruz fan, but #1 is ridiculous. If Cruz doesn’t deny it, he’s guilty. According to this story if he does deny it, he’s guilty.

I don’t find any of the other points convincing except one, and it’s important; NE was right about Edwards. They have been right about a few other stories (Tom Cruise comes to mind).

The fact that nothing new has surfaced YET should not necessarily be reassuring to the Cruz people. I suspect the NE is loading up for a big, follow-up story, but waiting to get maximum airplay out of the first one.

Then there is the DC Madam, where a drip-drip of hints keeps coming out that imply Cruz is in that book . . . .
