Fearless Sarah Palin Tells Wisc GOP Audience About Ted Cruz Giving “Gift Baskets” To Illegal Aliens…
ConservativeTreehouse ^ | April 2, 2016 | sundance

Posted on 04/02/2016 5:34:15 AM PDT by xzins

Speaking on behalf of Donald Trump, Sarah Palin gave a speech last night to a Wisconsin Republican audience. Standing firmly on a platform of truth, Palin warned the mostly party (establishment) audience their decision to stand with deception in order to win an election also means placing themselves in a very precarious position.

The response from the audience to Sarah’s brutal honesty was what’s customarily known as “the collective nervousness of deceivers“.

Whenever anyone dares to tell the collective: ‘the emperor stands naked’; there’s a particular kind of autonomic group nervousness immediately evident. A group discomfort.

Such was the discomfort when Sarah Palin mentioned Senator Ted Cruz’s weak and opportunistic immigration position, and then contrast a real-life example of Cruz going to McAllen Texas (Saturday, July 19th 2014) to hand out “gift baskets” and welcome illegal alien families.

You could hear a pin-drop as an entire audience sat jaw-agape in disbelief.

So Sarah Palin brings some BIG TRUTH to those GOP insiders who gathered in Wisconsin; and, if we are to give benefit-of-the-doubt to those who heard it, apparently it’s the first time they became aware of Senator Cruz’s forked tongue on an issue. Hence, a gob smacked response.

Palin also pointed out another lie, when she reminded everyone that Senator Cruz never stopped the senate Gang-of-Eight amnesty bill. Despite Lyin’ Ted claiming on the campaign trail that he killed the bill, the reality is that bill passed the Senate in 2013, and it would have passed the House were it not for Dave Brat’s primary defeat of Eric Cantor in June of 2014 shortly before Sentor Cruz took off to the border with his gift baskets.

But Sarah didn’t stop there. She also fearlessly told the audience that Senator Ted Cruz was also lying about another policy aspect, his advocacy for the Trans-Pacific Trade Deal. And, more specifically, to the Trade Promotion Authority bill Senator Ted Cruz co-authored, co-planned and co-constructed, along with Paul Ryan in the House of Representatives. Again, Sarah was loaded with the truth.

The Republican disbelievers didn’t want to hear about that inconvenient reality either. Then again, when you stand boldly in sunlight the cockroaches never approach; they can only comfortably co-exist when they remain cloistered in the dark shadows of deception.

The media’s response to Palin’s speech? Well, initially (and immediately) they began accusing her of lying about the “gift baskets”. Then, after they realized everything she was saying was factual, they started spinning. Eventually, they dropped the subject – and that’s probably how it will remain today.

It’s easier to hide those uncomfortable truths that way. Well, at least until after the Tuesday election I guess.

Here’s Sarah’s bold and truthful speech:

I don’t give damn about what you said on the thread above; I’m criticizing YOUR posts. Specifically, the ones that I’ve replied to.

And you know? Your ‘whether the flip-flop is relevant’ is little more than you saying that it is because you said so. I believe that the term is ‘begging the question.’

Also, personal insults.

Therefore, you have surpassed the trifecta.

Logical fallacy: Ad hominem, but this time directly at me.

Good day! Thanks for letting me have the last word.

Logical fallacy: Ad hominem, this time because of the personal insults aimed at me.

Also, changing the subject.

You don’t get it, do you? Audience reaction doesn’t matter; can you argue Palin’s points?

Can you?

It seems that you are unwilling to.

Actions speak louder than words. Those pics at the Beck event at the border were very telling, a very bad visual and that is the exact moment when I started to sour on Cruz.

I hope the people of Wisconsin take a good hard look at those pictures before voting on Tuesday. Their tax dollars are being used for the care and feeding of these illegal invaders that were dispersed all over the US.

Charity begins at home. I choose to lie down and die for my husband and my children. I don’t choose to lie down and die for illegal invaders. When did it become a crime to put America and Americans first? Since when did self-preservation become taboo? Bleeding heart leftists want us to feel guilty and lie down and die for the illegal hordes while sacrificing ourselves, our families and our country. Enough is enough, NO MORE!

What is a talk walk?

Come to think of it, one could borrow from #theChalkening: and put "Trump 2016" markings in chalk all around one's dwelling to keep SJW crybulllies away.

Cruz lost cases that should have been lost. I’m glad! He is too, I bet. Getting paid to lose.

CorrupTed or Inepti-Ted?

I love Sarah, but why is there such unilateral confusion about the cause of our suppressed GDP? What AS ALWAYS is the cause of our shrinking middle class? Some stupid foreign country? NO!!! The cause of a shrinking middle class and the flight of business and industry from our country has always been, is, and will always be THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT! Tariffs and protectionism layers MORE government upon that which government has caused to begin with.

Has anyone (I know SOME have) asked themselves WHY business and industry flees our country? The answer is business costs forced higher by the federal government. Free enterprise is in business to make a profit. Business would be negligent if they failed to go where their profits are maximized. Nuke high business tax (a misnomer - business tax is a hidden tax on the individual), nuke unconstitutional federal minimum wage, dead-end regulations, and federal protection of unions, and American business and industry would once again thrive in the environment of open competition in the marketplace FREE from government interference. The American consumer would win once again, their standard of living would rise once again, American competitive “can-do” spirit would make us winners in the marketplace once again, and our country and economy once again would thrive, proper, and grow.

The mostly unconstitutional $4 trillion FEDERAL GOVERNMENT is the enemy of our prosperity as well as our freedom. Quit agreeing with the socialists. THOSE ROOT CAUSES mentioned about are the reason for a foundering GDP and the flight of industry. Tariffs and protectionism do NOTHING to address these root causes and actually make matters worse.

And I thank you very much.

Well, I love Sarah, but I have to agree that she seems to have lost a certain edge in her public speaking. But I know she loves America and could be an asset to Trump’s administration if her home-front didn’t weigh too much on her mind.

Oh that’s for sure. Whenever it means absolutely nothing, whenever the outcome is a forgone conclusion, you can bet the rent Lyin’Ted will be waxing verbose. Typical all show, no go, Cruz.

No just the opposite, but Palin did support McCain over J. D. Hayworth and that’s what I didn’t agree with, to clarify.

True enough.

Still think that Palin is an American treasure, but I wish that her conflicted loyalties had tipped in the other direction for that particular endorsement.

“...Palin. I still think she is most qualified out there.”

Hear, hear. Sarah (at least in my mind) is a once in a generation leader, on par with some of our most revered historical figures.

The left and the establishment elites understood that about her from the outset, and mounted a campaign to destroy her credibility before she could rise to power. That campaign continues even now. She’s just that dangerous to them.

Trump is of similar makeup and caliber, and is facing the same fire that Sarah has. Let us pray that he survives it.

The tweet was on the very day that Cruz was introducing the poison pill amendments, which was June 19th 2013. Sessions has clearly said, that Cruz was mocking and teasing the other side.

What a dishonest post. You never even mentioned the wholesale lie in the tweet.

I WAS addressing the tweet. The possible explanation of the tweet was that he was trying to sell his so-called poison pill amendments by "mocking and teasing" with the tweet. Get it now?? And it was on the same day as when he introduced the amendments.

Look, one can believe that they were poison pill amendments or not. I really don't care. But stop with the cry of "dishonesty" when somebody disagrees with you. It's BS. It's spam. And using your line of reasoning, it's "dishonest".

But thanks for educating me. I learned that Sessions did not refer to the amendments as “poison pills”.

So why did Sessions vote for the amendments if they weren't a poison pill?

The tweet was private, and went only to Cruz’ followers.

I'm looking at the tweet now. I can see it. I'm not a follower.

No. I gave the reason why it is relevant.

You can show a Cruz supporter the current list of women but it's up in the air if any of them gave him chlamydia trachomatis.

Even though a woman (or women) have not come forward as yet to confirm these rumors of infidelity, Cruz now finds himself in the precarious position of having a lifelong cloud of cheating hanging over his head.

And worse still, if Cruz by some chance wins the general election in November, we'd then have a President -whose past- will forever be associated with that of a cheating husband. Not an enviable position for a United States President.

No, not at all. Cruz courageously introduced legislation to stop DACA. That was the point of his visit. It was the rest of the Senate that failed to act.

Oh that’s for sure. Whenever it means absolutely nothing, whenever the outcome is a forgone conclusion, you can bet the rent Lyin’Ted will be waxing verbose. Typical all show, no go, Cruz.

Waxing verbose? As I pointed out Cruz introduced a bill.

You would have preferred that Cruz not introduce the bill? That's the "do nothing", McConnell strategy.

Also, I read the reason why.

The reason you gave is a different kind of ad hominem argument, known as Tu Quoque.

Even if Sarah is out and out hypocritical, that doesn’t mean that her arguments are invalid.

Once again, it’s attacking the messenger instead of the message.

Cruz posted on his official Senate web site's Immigration page what he apparently considers to be his accomplishments:

CRUZ WEB SITE: In 2013, Sen. Cruz proposed amendments to the "Gang of 8" bill that would strengthen border security, expand green card opportunities, increase high-skilled "H1B" visas, prevent illegal aliens from receiving welfare benefits, and enforce the rule of law.

Even after the bill died, when Cruz had the opportunity, he did not identify his amendment as a "poison pill." Cruz glaringly omitted his current stance....that he was only bluffing.

===========================================

And here/s Cruz at the border....unloading soccer balls and teddy bears from Glen Beck/s welcome wagon to "unaccompanied minors" (whose illegal parents are waiting over the border to put them on the US gravy train.)

Cruz (in gray shirt) unloads Glenn Beck's "welcome to the US" gifts to illegal minors.

Trump’s reality TV was about something substantial that had him in an executive role.
