If You Aren’t Outraged, You Haven’t Been Paying Attention

In recent years the U.S. has been steadily traversing down a path of destruction. While many Americans have begun to open their eyes to America’s plight, most are still oblivious to the factors that led to our downfall. Recently, the media has been touting recovery, but there are numerous urgent changes that need to be implemented before the U.S. can even think that we are emerging from today’s recession/depression.

The New Depression

The economic decline in the United States began long before the official beginning of the recession in December 2007. The U.S. is not merely experiencing a “down cycle.” Very simply put, we are no longer producing wealth. Our balance-of trade deficit is constantly on the rise, Americans individually are living beyond their means and the government has followed suit. We are forced to live on imports and debt at every level as we no longer produce enough in our own factories to support ourselves. To make matters worse, we are losing over 20,000 jobs a day as our factories are closed, sold or bankrupted.

“Free Trade” is Destroying Us

The American media favors “free trade” almost unflinchingly, despite the fact that even a cursory overview of global economies shows that no nation is being more adversely affected by this practice than the U.S.

The U.S. is oppressed by the chains of “free trade” through treaties like the North America Free Trade Agreement, undemocratic and secretive trade regimes like the World Trade Organization and border tax inequities allowed by the WTO, such as the Value-Added Tax, which is utilized by 150 of America’s economic competitors.

Our trading partners have unrestricted access to our markets. Without restrictions, these countries can predatorily price their exports to us. Their prices are designed to put any company or group of American companies out of business and our companies are increasingly going under. We must stop these self-destructive agreements. The WTO and NAFTA are choking U.S. companies out of business.

The problem isn’t U.S. companies going out of business, the problem is U.S. companies abandoning American workers for third world labor. Remember when they told us if we let the rich get REALLY rich they’d take the rest of us along for the ride? Didn’t happen.

Yes, Donald Trump really made us all aware of this problem and understands the relationship between bad negotiations leading to bad trade deals, too high corporate taxes and too oppressive regulations making it very difficult for American companies to compete for our own markets, much less overseas.

Trump has brought the important issues for helping Americans to the forefront, strong immigration reform...we let to many legal and illegal immigrants in...security against Islamic terrorism...he has been right on every front on that. I am so grateful for the sacrifice this great man and his family are making for us...and am so ashamed of our party and media...for me it is either Trump or done.

Economy In Crisis, INC (EconomyInCrisis.org) is a non-profit corporation dedicated to educating legislators and the American public on the destruction of our country’s industrial base, the impact this has on national and economic security, and how it effects our standard of living. We publish critical but overlooked facts and figures, keeping our readers up-to-date with daily articles regarding the U.S. economy.

We compare what led to American industrial and economic world leadership with current policies and the present crippling of our industries. We then objectively extrapolate the near-term outlook and risks for our country, businesses and individuals. When possible we offer solutions to our weakening economic condition.

Out of concern for America’s deteriorating economic condition, those responsible for EconomyInCrisis.org donate their expertise and time. Economy In Crisis does not support any political organization or corporate interest.

Impeaching the source is a time honored rhetorical technique.

I’m sure Hitler had some wise things to say from time to time. But really, who uses him to back up their arguments?

Primary Concerns

Our primary concerns are in regards to the imminent consequences of our involvement in the WTO, NAFTA, NAU and the effects of European VAT Taxes. These issues, sometimes referred to as “free trade” in the popular press, are currently destroying the U.S. economy, yet very little is presently being written about them. We have become one of the leading sources of information on these and other topics affecting the American economy.

These issues also include:

• U.S. overdependence on imports

• Wholesale sellout of core strategic US assets to foreign acquirers

• U.S. inability to manufacture competitively

• Foreign control of vital US industries

• Dependence on credit and false wealth to maintain our current standards of living

• U.S. trade policies and other legislation contributing to these trends

Other U.S. Economic Issues

• Foreign financing of vast majority of government debt

• Outsourcing manufacturing, research, and design

• Transition to services-oriented economy

• Declining scientific, engineering, and technological prowess

• Wealth shift into less productive assets

• Record levels of personal, government, and trade deficits

• Misleading commonly used economic statistics

Yeah I saw that, and I saw that he has contributed articles to them for awhile, I was wondering if anyone knew about the author and what his background is in. Can’t find anything about him. Not asking because I doubt what he says but I know some that I would send this to might ask who he is.

the problem is U.S. companies abandoning American workers for third world labor.

Because govt. regulation and unions have made employing people a gigantic and costly pain.

I checked..... Americans like to buy stuff that is not too expensive for their budgets.

Everybody that matters knows that “free Trade” actually means”free er trade.”

BTW...... I have a friend that retired from a very good job. Being tired of sitting around, he found a new one that is mostly part time. He works for a funeral home moving bodies around. There is considerable inter mortuary traffic that requires his services. Sometimes when business is too good, he puts his suit back on and helps with the funeral.

We should move immediately to curb our out-of-control spending on unnecessary programs and initiatives that are being financed by foreign debt.
