NYT: Donald Trump, RNC leaders discuss Louisiana delegates

GOP presidential frontrunner Donald Trump met with leaders from the Republican National Committee this week and reportedly hashed out his concerns over delegate distribution, particularly in Louisiana.

Trump has spent the past week raising issue over Louisiana’s delegates because, while he won the state’s GOP primary March 5, he could get fewer GOP delegates from than second-place finisher U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz through political maneuvering.

The New York Times reports that Trump and RNC leaders met Thursday to clear the air, with RNC chairman Reince Priebus explaining that each campaign had to fight for delegates at each state’s convention.

The guy Trump has since hired is described by both Newt and Roger Stone as being the ‘best vote-counter’ in the business.

Fool me once...

Trump needed somebody to explain the rules to him. At least that’s better than him threatening lawsuits on Twitter.

“with RNC chairman Reince Priebus explaining that each campaign had to fight for delegates at each state’s convention.”

What a pantload Rancid Penis is! With the RNC, “You have to fight to get what you’ve already won at the ballot box!” What? I thought this was a Republic? Someone needs to give the RNC an enema!

Romney is going to install his niece to head the RNC.
If Trump gets the nomination, he get to choose.
This is exactly what this is all about, people.

If Romney is allowed to shape the RNC, the country will be over.

This should be much bigger news.

>>>the ‘best vote-counter’ in the business.

Uh-oh, Trump’s planning some political maneuvering to cheat and steal delegates!

Blame it on whatever. It’s Trump and his team’s fault for not knowing.

I would say Trump understands "just winning" doesn't cut it anymore, since he hired Manafort.

Bet McCain still pouts that Manafort returned to Kiev to put Viktor Yanukovycheven into power, instead of helping McCain during his failed Presidential bid.

Funny, when Hillary stole Bernie’s votes, everyone here laughed at her nefariousness.

When Cruz does it, it’s just “following the rules.”

You Cruzers are pathetic hypocrites.

The government is supposed to be a republic. Political parties aren't governments, and aren't bound by any external rules except state and federal law, which the parties control in any case.

That's why George Washington himself warned us against political parties:

“However [political parties] may now and then answer popular ends, they are likely in the course of time and things, to become potent engines, by which cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the power of the people and to usurp for themselves the reins of government, destroying afterwards the very engines which have lifted them to unjust dominion.”

There’s a chance..a slim one..but if Trump’s numbers continue to implode..he could actually finish THIRD, behind Kasich, in Wisconsin....that would be a total game changer

Yep. Not knowing, or not organizing, or not being able to build state and local organizations. Or some combination of the three.

Someone needs to give our freaking government an enema... but, yes, the RNC too.

Well, I'm glad Trump is on this now. Winning is paramount, and doing so with a minimum of controversy is infinitely preferable.

However, if it comes down to it, I fully expect him to launch into a PR initiative.

He can claim that politicians are subverting the clearly expressed desires of the voters. The other side can claim that the rules allow them to finagle and steal delegates.

Who do you think will win that one?
