Statement from Palm Beach County State Attorney Dave @aronberg on Donald Trump campaign manager
WPTV ^ | March 30, 2016

Posted on 03/30/2016 3:50:54 PM PDT by maggief

Some media outlets have reported that this office has brought charges against Corey Lewandowski, campaign manager for Donald Trump. These reports are false. Our office has taken no action against Mr. Lewandowski. The matter was investigated and charged by the Jupiter Police Department, not this office. We will await the file from the Jupiter Police Department and make a decision on how to proceed in this matter before Mr. Lewandowski's May 4th arraignment.

Law enforcement charges on a probable cause standard. The State has to proceed on a legally higher standard of proof, which is beyond a reasonable doubt as well as whether there is a reasonable likelihood of a conviction. At this point, our office has not received the case.

Are those media outlets that reported Corey had been charged liable for damages?

This ridiculous case should be dropped....as in immediately...if not sooner.

Interesting, so in effect Cory has been issued a ticket to appear in traffic court, and the DA hasn’t decided whether to proceed. I thought that the police sent the file to the DA first, and then the arrest warrant was issued, but maybe they do things differently in Florida.

you’re kidding, right? this happens a little more often than you think.

it wouldn’t be worth the cost of the lawyers, because they would likely lose

No, he was charged by Jupiter police department. This statement is just saying that the Palm Beach Country State’s Attorney has not yet decided how it will proceed, if at all.

“The State has to proceed on a legally higher standard of proof, which is beyond a reasonable doubt as well as whether there is a reasonable likelihood of a conviction. At this point, our office has not received the case.”

Excellent point.

I don’t think they will pursue this. The whole thing was just a publicity stunt to try to smear Trump and his campaign in the court of public opinion, by presenting allegations as irrefutable facts.

Of course, Cruz has arrested, charged and convicted the perp. Will he or his minions retract their slander?

Another Trump slimmer’s career goes down in flames...she should go for a latte with Lindsey Graham an ask him for career advice, following her public shaming and humiliation...her credibility is so low she will forever be confined to tabloid journalism.

Gosh.

Maybe they saw that video of Huma Weiner grabbing and shoving that poor lady at a Hillary campaign event.

They’d rather eat dirt than go after Hillary and her top advisor.

“Mmmmmm.....this dirt tastes good. I really like it. Huma shoving people? Can I have some more dirt, please?”

So Jupiter went ahead without input from the local DA. Sounds weak...which it is.
