A wealthy businessman with tea party ties confirmed Sunday that he is mounting a primary challenge to House Speaker Paul D. Ryan, saying that after donating to the Wisconsin Republicans past campaigns he feels betrayed by the speaker on trade deals and immigration.
The businessman, who is not yet revealing his identity, promised that his run will shake up the establishment in a profound way, according to a political consultant close to the prospective candidate.

Few details and not even a name yet, but it sounds like it's going to happen.
It would sweet if the challenger made his announcement at the Trump rally in Janesville, Ryan's home town, tomorrow.

Amen!
Paul Ryan lecturing us about “not who we are” and pushing through Obama’s budget shows it is time for him to be defeated.
Trump needs to transform his success to a political purge of the ruling elites that have sold out America. Destroy the GOPe and the apparatus that keeps the Uniparty in control.

“Yes, but can he win?”
Can you say “Eric Cantor”?

YES! I hope Ryan gets hammered by wealthy dude! I can’t wait to contribute to his campaign and hope conservatives everywhere will help him beat the sob, Ryan.

if an elected DC official when running for office promises a positive action that favors the people and is constitutional and once elected goes against that promise, they should be removed immediately from public office. A few removals would create a bit of chaos but after that I surmise the promises would be kept.

the challenger made his announcement at the Trump rally in Janesville, Ryan's home town, tomorrow. Possibly.
I don't think such a challenge would go unmet. The GOPe would try to destroy him and anyone he every knew.

When is the primary for house and senate? I ask because Florida has 3 elections this year. The presidential primary was March. The house senate primary is July and the election is November. Just wondering if they split them up in Wisconsin.
