That was my first thought. I actually lived in Livermore then and still remember all those bikers.
Yep Altamont 1969. You beat me to it. I guess the bikers have sympathy for Donald Trump.
It is not 1969 and these bikers are not Hell’s Angels.
You’re 40 years behind the curve as bikers go. I grew up in Orange County in the days of The Brotherhood of Eternal Love, Orange Sunshine and Hell’s Angels.
That mob up at Altamont were tied in with all of that — they were heap bad hombres.
This ain’t that.
Yeah, there’ll be PLENTY of tattooed muscle on scene, but without the rap sheets behind them. It’ll be a very polite day. Or ELSE! Lotta these guys have combat duty under their belts, and take a real dim view of numbskulls in the streets working to suppress the rights they risked their lives to preserve. They’ll keep it orderly, and VERY Real, but if the rent-a-mob gets anything started, these guys will grimly step in and bust a bushel of skulls on behalf of those who didn’t make it back from the places they’ve been.
