Meanwhile in Yellowstone they kill 900 bison for trampling on a rare grass.

Reintroduction has worked out well in a number of environments, and there’s certainly enough grass in Montana for bison to make themselves at home.

Bison are fantastic animals (my high school mascot).

Strange that they are hoping to generate large herds to roam.

I watched a program last night that addressed the fact that there are now only about 30,000 wild mustangs, while the BLM has herded over 200,000 into pens and sell them off to companies who take them to Mexico or slaughter them to make pet foods and fertilizer. The BLM says they do that because there isn’t enough forage and water to support the wild horses along with the cattle owned by ranchers. ...What will adding herds of bison do to alleviate that problem?

The next Conservative administration should severely curtail the power of the BLM. Let nature take its course. If the wild ranging animals lack food and water, they will migrate.
