I understand the implication, but the wording of these tests always has bugged me.
If they are testing his breath for alcohol and they find it, wouldn’t that mean he passed the test? LOL.
When my uncle wasn’t flying a B-17, the `Pappy Yokum’, over Germany, he flew the occasional transport plane, `Gooney birds’ I think he said.
To liven things up he would roll empty beer cans down the aisle. Undrunk of course, but they got a few visits to the cockpit from brass hats.
What were they going to do? Put him in a B-17?
