Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid predicts the Senate will confirm Merrick Garland for the Supreme Court after Hillary Clinton wins the presidential election in November.
The Nevada Democrat says Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnells refusal to consider a high court nominee until a new president offers a nomination for the vacancy is dumb advice for Republican senators.

Needed a Good Friday laugh. Thanks Equipment Victim.
So we should listen to advice from Harry Reid, because they are getting dumb advice from Mitch McConnell??? What the heck???
He’s actually right. This pick would be a hell of a lot better than anything Hillary would present.
There are few creatures more loathsome than Harry Reid..
I predict this old gangster will be soon be in a nursing home drooling on his bib.
So, in other words, Garland doesn’t stand a chance.
Exactly. However upon a Clinton victory Obama would immediately withdraw the nomination.
Reid has surrendered to the GOP-e.
I’m shocked...
Hes right. The GOP fully plans on waiting until then.
“Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid predicts the Senate will confirm Merrick Garland for the Supreme Court after Hillary Clinton wins”
I have no doubt of that, even if they have a majority they
would still cave on it. As a party the republicans are practically
useless. They probably will anyway after the election if Cruz
or Trump wins. Just to get back at the people for electing them.
A list of the worthless pathetic garbage:
Alexander, Ayotte, Barrasso, Blunt,
Boozman, Burr, Chambliss, Chiesa, Coats,
Coburn, Cochran, Collins, Corker,
Cornyn, Graham, Hoeven, Isakson,
Johanns, Johnson (WI), Kirk, McCain,
McConnell, Murkowski, Thune, Wicker.
Here is something else to keep you up at night.
Under the 20th Amendment, the new Congress takes office on January 3, but the new President does not take office until January 20. This means that if the Democrats retake control of the Senate then Senate Majority Leader Chuckie Schumer will have almost three weeks to easily confirm all of Obama's nominations, from the Supreme Court down to the district courts. And there will not be a damned thing that the Republican minority can do about it.
However upon a Clinton victory Obama would immediately withdraw the nomination.
I agree. Hitlery would choose someone 100 x worse. And the Senate would approve her.
If Hitlery wins, it’s over. She would make Hitler or Stalin look like choir boys.
Yeah.
The pathological senile Mob Punching bag also learned, through the Mob that Habitual Loser Mit Romney hadn't paid Federal Income taxes since 1956...
The first conflict of the American Revolution might be said to be the result of the Stamp Act of 1765. In August of 1765, Andrew Oliver, the Crown's stamp agent in Boston was hung in effigy from the Liberty Tree and forced to resign his commission.
"What a greater Joy did ever New England see
Than a Stampman hanging on a Tree".
Lt. Gov Thomas Hutchinson, regarded by the colonists as much too cozy with the Crown agents, and the sheriff attempted to break up the crowd around midnight only to be driven off by a hail of stones and harsh commentary.
A couple of weeks later a crowd gathered and lit a bonfire on King St in Boston. They then moved on to the house of William Story, a Crown agent in the admiralty court. The crowd swarmed the house, destroying Story's papers and his furnishings as well as Court records held there.
The crowd then moved on to the home of Boston's Controller of Customs, Benjamin Hallowell. They tore down his fence, broke out his windows, stormed the house and stripped it of contents.
The next target of the night was Hutchinson's home. The Lt. Gov. had gotten warning and sent his family to safety. But his eldest daughter had returned and declared she would stay unless Hutchinson also departed. Hutchinson retreated with her to a neighbor's house. The crowd did its work again and left only a shell and a partial roof to greet the dawn.
Thus our ancestors met overreaching government. It was not the last battle but merely a beginning. There followed the Declaratory Act and the Townsend Acts and the Tea Act. Martial law and direct resistance pushed back and forth until "The Shot Heard 'Round the World" and then it was game on.
More likely that they will confirm him after the election because they are likely to lose the Senate especially if they pull hanky panky at the convention.
