The coming Trump landslide
Worldnet Daily ^ | 3/24/2016 | Joseph Farah

Posted on 03/25/2016 7:35:13 AM PDT by GilGil

May I, as a Ted Cruz supporter, just step in here for a minute and explain why Donald Trump, as Republican nominee for president, will win a landslide election victory over Hillary and actually be a welcome alternative to the kind of leadership America has experienced for the last 27 years?

I don’t care what the national polls say now about a matchup between Trump and Clinton. I am old enough to remember vividly what the polls between Ronald Reagan and Jimmy Carter looked like in 1980 at this point in the presidential campaign. They suggested Reagan had no chance to win. He trailed Carter in the polls by double digits. He went on to carry 44 states that year, including New York and California – 49 states four years later.

That is very close to what I expect Trump to do to Hillary if he becomes the nominee.

Why do I think that?

You are one in a small group of people who fixate on the little tempests in a teapot that most people don’t pay attention to.

If this sex story is true, it destroys everyone supporting Cruz. Their main argument is that he is “principle.” Maybe that is why Trump coined the word “lyin’” Ted. He may have known for a long time now about this and was laying the ground work for this story.

Okay, you aren't a Cruz supporter, you are a Trump supporter doing another underhanded and deceitful hit piece on Ted Cruz. You could have just said so at the beginning and not wasted my time thinking you were being reasonable.

I am sick and tired of all the sleaze mongering by people who think they are helping their candidate. Leave the sleaze to the Democrats and start acting like adults.

We ought to be better than this.

I would like to see some rule changes here at Free Republic for the duration of the primary. "No supporter of one candidate may post a derogatory article regarding the other candidate."

This ugly gutter trash level of discourse is unbecoming to Free Republic.

OMG! That was good. Hillary had to tell the truth because she’s been caught lying so much in the past! Haha.

I seem to recall a certain sitting president whose bimbo eruptions were chronicled in great deal at this website.

Here is an angle that no one is discussing. Would someone who has bimbo eruptions be given a security clearance? Hell no: it leaves them open to blackmail.

Red. Onions.

Never heard about the web site thing. I can say that on the internet, names are a funny thing. For instance, you will not find Outlaw76 on my resume.

As for him denying it? He shouldn’t give it credence unless questioned directly. It would be stupid to do so.

If I were to say that Barron trump is really Cruz’ love child with Melania - should trump or Cruz dignify it with a response. Nope because it’s just BS.

Or is it?

This campaign has gotten so ugly, it has completely turned me off. Cruz lost me with his blaming of Trump for the protester violence, Trump has lost me with his being... Trump.. At this point, this landslide will have to go down without my vote, first time since I have been eligible...

The latest calculations indicate that the MSM has provided about $2B worth of coverage, and Trump is definitely in the Mae West mindset. Given the celebrity obsessed culture, I cannot say he is wrong in that.

It is looking more and more like Trump’s ultimate strength is the same as Obama’s; he will be the vehicle for payback and revenge.

As savvy of a lawyer as Cruz is you’d think he would be all over this cleaning up.

By all account, this story has been well known in DC circles for years. That's why 3 out of the 5 women have already been identified. In essence, it was common knowledge.

So the question isn't really about the clean-up, it's about why Cruz was selected as the GOPe stalking horse. Because of course this information was eventually going to come up and damage the Cruz campaign. So why did Bush, Romney, et al back him?

It's because he's the transitional candidate ie Bush 2.0 is rolled out as the 'conservative candidate' that the party can unite behind.

I keep saying this, but the real fight is over the GOP money laundering apparatus. That's the real value, and one the GOPe are willing to do anything to deny Trump taking over their enterprise.

Trump’s policies including his numerous position papers on his website are quite conservative.

In releasing a scandal properly, you initially do what’s called a “big tease”, which ensnares the reader and causes the rumor to go vital. At the same time, you make sure that you have plenty of information that is implied by the “big tease.” Then, you proceed to release little juicy details of information until the dam breaks. This also helps sell papers (or get hits on the internet).

What we’re seeing from the National Enquirer is the “big tease”. More will follow. After all, it has long been rumored by Rick Wilson and others that there is a sex tape out there, commonly referred to as “The Thing”.

Obama could at least appear to be likeable.

Ignoring that Obama is a Leftist, you could play some golf and drink beer with Obama.

Can't say the same for Hillary.

It is worth recalling that National Enquirer’s lead attorney is David Kendall, who is also the lead attorney for the Xlintoon Crime Syndicate.

I feel this way too....... until I look at her. I can’t imagine 4 or 8 years of that and on top of that you or me would be in federal prison if we had done the same.

So, let’s say the story about Cruz’s affairs turn out to be true (not saying they are, just what if). Then you’d be mad at Trump because the NE did the investigation and released it? You’d rather have a sanctimonious liar be successful in hoodwinking the voters? Haven’t we gone down that path before? Again, not saying it’s true, and it’s shameful if it is not.
