Armstrong besides being Carson's "closest advisor" was also his/their traveling companion and close friend of Candy Carson - but Armstrong is a known liar and shyster inside DC and conservative circles!
He probably fleeced so much money from the "Run Ben Run" presidential fund, that cost Carson to drop his bid.
