First let me say as a strong Trump supporter, if Ted Cruz wins the nomination fair and square I will absolutely vote Cruz over Hillary without hesitation. Because #NeverHillary.
~~~~~~~~~~~
Reminiscing-prior to 2012, many conservatives, including myself believed that Paul Ryan was a solid rock of anti-big government conservatism . and we were actually optimistic when he became Mitt Romneys running mate. Well, we know how that played out. Today hes morphed into one of the biggest RINOs inside the beltway.
Washington DC has a history of seducing politiciansI remember foolishly looking forward to John Boehner relieving Nancy Pelosi as Speaker. Im embarrassed that Ive allowed a ridiculous number of DC Politicians to deceive me. Cruz supporters and everyday people - (PICTURE) Rush Limbaugh & Mark Levin standing by Rush's private plane.
And this is but a sample of an extremely long list of Benedict Arnolds we have sent to DC. So pardon me if I dont trust politicians anymore.
They lie. This is not opinion. This is fact. And its not just an occasional deception they lie over and over and over. And they lie about anything and everything.
Were I not so gullible at the timeI suspect there were red flags with these previous RINOs but now were paying attention.
This year we have another solid rock of anti-big government conservatism in Ted Cruz. However, if history has taught us anything the odds are against ANY lawyer/politician remaining true to his word.
One of the on-going arguments against Donald Trump is that Trump is not a conservative, despite the fact we do not make that claim. We claim Trump is a pragmatic businessman with some gorgeous Anti-Left, Anti-PC policies .but be that as it may
Cruz on the other hand, is portrayed by many including Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levin and others as The Perfect Small Government, Constitutionalist Conservative OUTSIDER, yet they never discuss any of the Teds previous votes, positions and actions that contradict this small government persona.
First offTed is a career government lawyer I dont write that as a slap or insultit is what it isa fact. Cruz, the Harvard Law Debate Champion worked for George W. Bush, first as a legal policy adviser to the Bush-Cheney campaign in 2000, then as part of the recount team in Florida. He was the Department of Justice coordinator for the Bush-Cheney transition team and then Associate Deputy Attorney General at the DOJ then he had a stint at the Federal Trade Commission.
And today its like Teds become one of the Bush family. Teddy Bush?
Neil Bush is with the Ted Cruz Campaign. Jeb Bushs financial team members have joined Cruz Campaign. Jeb Bush has endorsed Ted Cruzjoining Mr. Establishment Linsey Graham, who also endorsed Ted .OH, and dont forget Nikki Haley.
The despicable Club for Growth .the group that attempted to extort One Million Dollars from Trump last summer, then started negative ad campaigns against Trumphas now endorsed Ted.
But my biggest problemTed voted for Fast Track Authority (VIDEO BELOW) a legislative GIFT to Obama. He also wrote a joint Op-Ed with previously mentioned Paul Ryan that reeks of RINO. Ted says he is against TPP, maybe he is, however why bother with TPA, if there was no corresponding Free Trade plan?
Other:
◾While running for SenateTed was unbelievably opposed to cracking down on Chinas currency manipulation (AUDIO: Laura Ingraham Interview below). ◾Ted proposed increase to the number of H1B visas by 500%
fast-trackHow do conservative media give Ted a pass on all these less than conservative positions?
What happened to fiscal conservatism?
In closing we cannot afford more of these government negotiated Free Trade deals. They are a disaster. For the past 25 years, Free Trade agreements have decimated the American economy. And anyone that has supported these free trade agreementsas Ted Cruz consistently has is demonstrating fundamentally poor economic judgement, and is not qualified to save this UNSUSTAINABLE economy that today is in critical condition.
We need a businessman .that understands finance. Thats why Im voting for Trump. However, like I said .unlike the childish #NeverTrump people, should Ted Cruz win the nomination, I will absolutely vote for Cruz over Hillary.
UPDATE: I have received multiple messages with the basic theme that Cruz gets a pass on these issues because he is so much like Reagan. With all due respect, Reagan had significant Executive experience as Governor of California
.Ted does not. Reagan had a successful career OUTSIDE of the government that spanned over 2 decades
Ted does not. Ted is a lawyer
Reagan was not. Reagan was once a Democrat (like myself)
Ted was not. In his capacity as Governor, Reagan actually stood up to violent protesters
Ted blamed Trump.
I loved the part with Kasich when the Trumpinator scans him. At the bottom it said “NO THREAT”
Lol, love the terminator pic!
Cruz an Outsider ?? Who is paying his bills ?? Any questions ??
brilliant LOL
Don/;t know why still today there are people like Rush trying to say cruz is an outsider when he has a Bush working for him,, endorsed by Jeb Bush, endorsed by Graham and the establishment are helping him .
Remember the times when he fooled some of us back then here.
Let me encourage other members of the establishment: Keep supporting Donald Trump because every time you do it, what it is doing is telling conservatives all over the country is where you stand and who stands with you.
- Ted Cruz, New Hampshire stump speech
Cruz was in insider when that suited his purpose, then became an outsider 4 years ago when he decided to run for President.
I agree, total insider but I think he tried to cut in line and used the tea party angle to get traction.
And his wife is dyed in the wool NWO. To me, that is a giant red flag. It explains why he votes the way he does!
:) Thanx for the laugh.
All the focus is on the Republicans and what they will do at their convention when the democrats just might pull the rug from under both their candidates. When it will be Joe Biden and Pokahannis.
And we get stuck with a bad mouthing guy who has a string of law suits against him and a meandering platform who so far the only definite positions we know about besides some kind of wall the Mexicans won’t pay for and (all the republican candidates want closed borders) is government eminent domain land seizure and subsidized everything including ethanol.
Whoopie a real winner./s
Its pretty disingenuous to try to call yourself an outsider when you have wrapped yourself in the mantle of a Jeb Bush endorsement and have taken the whole Bush staff on your team including but not limited to the ex criminal brother Neil.
At this point I don’t’ think Luz is fooling more than a handful of Freepers and a few half dazed GOP voters.
Teb! had me fooled until he voted for cloture on TPA and Corker. He had excellent camoflage.
The mask is off.
Hey don’t feel lonely. I’m the one who coined “Ted Cruz accept no substitute”. Then he voted for TPA and I scratched my head and then he voted for the Corker Bill and I was really surprised. Then he wanted to expand the H1-B visas by 500% and I said WTF? Then he would not let go of his pat answer about immigration. “After we secure the border we can have a conversation about what to do with the illegals who are here”. Smacked of amnesty to me. I finally had to let Teddy go when Trump got in it.
PING!
Excellent article, Bigtoona
Relate to the writer as, I too, was bamboozled not so much by the glitter, but by the mask worn. When it was found to be a mask and researched further, the eyes were opened wide to take in the mass of information which was unseen, hidden?
Thank you for the post. Even though heartbroken, to see countless others feel the thorn of delusion is of no solace in the lessening of the pain. We learn, we remember, and hopefully we grow wiser.
