That’s pretty much everywhere here in the dust bowl. We can have 2 inches of rain one day, and in less than a week, they’re warning us about elevated fire risk. *sigh*

Saw around midnight Wednesday that the fires along the Kansas-Oklahoma border had affected over 100,000 acres since they began on Tuesday.

Sorry, I was not paying attention to who I was posting to. I posted hetter clues on another similar thread to a different FReeper. I use the geomac app to look at USGS topo maps anywhere in the US. It’s interesting to watch the seasonal progression north of wild fires. A delicate balance the Erf is.

Any ranchers start back fires? The Feds could come in and take their ranches and throw them in prison.

What happens, aside from “Oops”, when the FED is the culprit?
Sure didn’t see much go down w/ the mine-plug disaster, Flint, etc.

So if I understand this correctly, anyone who doesn’t vote with you deserves to suffer loss of property and perhaps life?

I'm getting really tired of news threads on things like this or Brussels that don't have to do with the primary getting turned into Trump stupming grounds. I think some of these folks have Class II Trump derangement syndrome. That's when you support Trump and it's all about Trump, even when it has nothing to do with Trump.

“Those were accidents.”
EPA didn’t even follow their OWN guidelines for the mine.
Everybody in their sister would have to do endless ‘environmental studies’ in HOPES they get the OK. Govt, on the other hand, goes full steam ahead, damn the consequences.
Accidents, my @ss.
RE 2: Yeah, call/follow/hide-behind the Constitution when it covers THEIR @ss. Try showing ‘em the long train of abuses and...*crickets*.

The term Accident was to be taken sarcastically, sorry if not understood. The mine incident was a crime any way you look at it.
And of course no one at the government will be held responsible.
Have a good holiday.

This is home country for me. Not many people out there but they usually specialize in quality over quantity.
Alva is the closest town of consequence on the Oklahoma side of the fire.
At least it will wipe out a bunch of stinking Eastern Red Cedar trees! The land will be better for that if it does not wash away with the spring rains.

Serious request for info—what is the problem with Eastern Red Cedar trees? Are they a problem species?
I am very arborally challenged.

They are an invasive species and suck the life out of the land. Google them up.
