Notably similar to the exit polls conducted a week ago in Florida, Missouri, Ohio, Illinois, and North Carolina, in which 39 percent said theyd consider a third party if forced to choose between Trump and Hillary. Whats interesting about this result, from CNNs national poll, is that Trump does very well in other metrics. At 47 percent, hes near a majority and leads Cruz by 16 points. When Republican registered voters and leaners are asked whether theyd feel dissatisfied or upset if Trump, Cruz, or Kasich wins the nomination, Trump actually scores lowest on the combined totals for those two answers. He leads among those who say theyd be upset, but together with dissatisfied hes at 33 percent versus 38 percent for Cruz and 46 percent for Kasich. At lot goes into that, I think some people may be dissatisfied with Kasich as nominee purely because hes an also-ran, others may be dissatisfied because hes a centrist and not a conservative. But its worth noting these numbers in light of all the #NeverTrump buzz in conservative media.

Government Media Complex in overdrive.
Make them listen to Hillary’s voice.
There isn’t going to be a 3rd party, so why bother “polling” about that.
Every poll when they have asked a supporter if they will, propbably or wont support someone else if their candidate loses all come back with the same numbers no matter who they support and who they list as the nominee...
This Trump has a bigger issue than any other candidate in this regard is flat out garbage.
Rigged poll. It’s all in the wording.
I actually saw a poll that showed that Cruz’s “will not vote” numbers were higher than Trump’s, and Trump’s weren’t bad at all. CNN is working together with the GOP to build a narrative to justify the Cucks going third party.
65% or more vote Trump vs 35% who probably lying
Either way that 35% is more than Cruz gets in a primary add Trump bring almost 35% more voters Win Win
Hi, laplata!
I think the number was closer to 40 when we got stuck with Romney...
And considering Perot got 19% in the general back in 92 I’d say that number is pretty well consistent regardless of who’s nominated...
Let’s face it - they’re not going to go third party in any significant numbers if Trump is the nominee.
It’s just a bunch of babies throwing a temper tantrum. They’ll get over it.
Naturally a conservative third party run helps Hillary so of course CNN is gonna push this bit of polling big time.
What’s the percentage if Ryan or Romney or Kasich is nominee?
They forgot to ask.
3rd Party GOPe candidate would attack Trump and leave Hillary alone. Bet on that!
There, fixed it.
I guess 35% of Republicans and “leaners” are going to know how I felt when I had to vote for John McCain and Mitt Romney. Y’all can suck it.
A nice moderate 3rd party candidate would let Trump win with his solid 35-40%. Do it and be shut out of the government for the next 4 years. This would be perfect!
Tell that to Florida, Nevada, South Carolina, Arizona and all the other big win States.
The GOPe have been rejected by the American people. Let them start their own political party if they so desire.
