Donald Trump: Brussels 'just the beginning'

Trump 'fine' with waterboarding In an another interview, Trump also said he would be "fine" with waterboarding Salah Abdeslam, one of the leaders of the Paris attacks several months ago who was just captured in Brussels, in order to get more information on potential future attacks.

"Well I'm not looking to break any news on your show, but frankly the waterboarding, if it was up to me, and if we changed the laws or have the laws, waterboarding would be fine," the Republican front-runner said on NBC's "Today" show. "I would say they should be able to do whatever they have to do."

"You know, we work within laws. They don't work within laws -- they have no laws. We work within laws. The waterboarding would be fine, and if they could expand the laws, I would do a lot more than waterboarding," he said.

Trump has vacillated in his campaign about whether or not he would pursue using waterboarding -- which is considered torture and thus illegal. After getting criticized by former national security officials, Trump said he would instead seek to expand the laws, presumably to make such tactics legal.

Just telling it like it is...the CNN nitwits were apoplectic when he started talking about waterboarding, doing whatever it took to capture the leaders. Wolfie becomes a futtering stuck.

I’m fine with that too.

“Waterboarding would be fine. If they can expand the laws, I would do a lot more than waterboarding,” Trump said, adding he believed torture could spark useful leads for officials. “You have to get the information from these people.”

The media is used to telling candidates what to say and how to act.

That’s what all the “act Presidential” or “talk Presidential” is about. They want to tell Trump what to say and do. And Trump says go to hell.

“Just telling it like it is”

Very refreshing to boot.

Trump holds the same position on this as most reasonable Americans.

Then, you have Cruz and Kasich running around thinking they’re King S**t because they have the “courage” to say “Radical Islam”. Congratulations guys, you’re not Obama. What an amazing accomplishment.

So who does Trump want to waterboard? Has he given any examples of who he would use it on and under what circumstances?

“That’s what all the “act Presidential” or “talk Presidential” is about. They want to tell Trump what to say and do. And Trump says go to hell.”

Blitzer was beside himself...”you can’t mean that...waterboarding? Wateroarding?”

Trump says, “yes. and more. Whatever it takes. They aren’t helping us. This guy lived in that neighborhood out in the open, this leader they caught, for more than 4 months. No one turned him in. Why are we afraid to offend them?”

Nice to hear someone say what we’re all thinking.

“Wolf, what do you think Patton or MacArthur would be doing? You know, some REAL generals?”

The waterboarding and other uncomfortable forms of interrogation got stopped by an Executive Order.

Even Hayden said it could be revived under circumstances.

So we're going to see that EO eliminated under Trump.

45 years ago we were tossing Charlie out of a Huey to get his buddies to talk. Now we clutch our pearls at water boarding?

The IRA used to drill kneecaps with an electric drill. The Chinese? Shudder at what they probably do.

Time for some unpleasant stuff America. Our parents put up with infinitely worse in WWII. We need to win this one too.

Water Boarding is NOT TORTURE, we have been doing it to ourselves in the Military for a Very Long Time.

He was talking about the big shot we just captured.

“He may be talking, but he’d be talking a lot faster.”

I’d say you waterboard anyone who has information need to keep Americans alive...And if waterboarding doesn’t get you the answers you need, go further...As far as it takes to get the answers...

Round ‘em up, get info out of them, preemptive strikes wherever the vermin hide.

I’d be fine with a lot more than ####ing that.

My uncle told me what mobsters used to do to squealers or to get people to talk.

I’d be THRILLED to do it myself.

makes waterboarding look like detention.

I am like my son on the issue. Terrorists essentially ambush innocent people in crowded public places. With that tactic, they kill men, women, children, elderly, of all races.

Only utterly depraved and despicable sub-humans would resort to such methods.

So my son posits that there is nothing on earth you could do to these sub-humans that would be inappropriate. I agree Carve them up with a dull knife; stretch them until their limbs pull out. Smash their heads slowly in a vice. I don’t care . . . they are fully deserving of any kind of inhumane treatment we can think of.

My brother worked for a certain agency that waterboarded everybody so they knew what to expect. He said it sucked, but you just had to hang in there and remember you are not drowning, it’s just your brain TELLING you you are drowning.

I wonder if Trump’s position on Muslim immigration is starting to make sense to any of the fence sitters now? I heard someone on CNN speculating that these jihadis came from Syria. These are the people the leftists are bound and determined to introduce into our country. It makes about as much sense as introducing weasels in your hen house.

Yes, the Islamist under arrest in Belgium. He said instead of giving him lawyers, do whatever is necessary to get info from him, and go on the attack.

You mean Salah Abdeslam? We didn't capture him; the Belgians did and I don't think they're going to turn him over to us. I don't think he's done anything here anyway.
