President Obamas weekly remarks
Hi, everybody. One of the most consequential responsibilities our Constitution grants a President is appointing a Supreme Court Justice. The men and women who sit on the Supreme Court safeguard our rights. They ensure that ours is a system of laws, not of men. And theyre given the essential task of applying the principles written into our founding documents to the most challenging questions of today.
So this is a duty I take very seriously. It requires me to set aside short-term politics in order to maintain faith with our founders. And on Wednesday, after weeks of consultations with Republicans, Democrats, and leaders across the country, I selected a nominee whose unmatched experience and integrity have earned him the respect and admiration of both parties Chief Judge Merrick Garland.

And if America was still a sane place, you would of been impeached by now.
The NRA has come out with a stern warning against this SCOTUS nominee.
NRA Member Action Needed to Oppose Obama Supreme Court Nominee
Well ...

I can’t wait for the Kenyanesian Usurpation to end.
This is satire, right?
Supreme Court was not above politics when Obama was voting
in the Senate.
What a sleazebag.

I agree with Obama-—the SC SHOULD be above politics, but it isn’t.
Period.
I think the race card will, once again, be pulled in the upcoming weeks by prominent ‘rats and the media over his nominee.
I agree; however, that’s not reality.
Did Obama sayeth the same about kagan, and Sotomayor. They both might as well be liberal senators.
Based on his appointments, this is a case of do as I say, not as I do.
So, nominate someone as much like Scalia as possible.
That's why he pushed those two worthless liberal female ideologues, Sotomayor and Kagan, onto the court.
