Amen, Jesus is the only true and good and abundant wealth distributer in the Universe. He made us, sustains us, saves us and even serves us.
Luke 22
25 And he said unto them, The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and they that exercise authority upon them are called benefactors.
26 But ye shall not be so: but he that is greatest among you, let him be as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth serve.
WENDLE I've watched the video and it's mildly disturbing and typical of a lot of American pentecostal fare. Maybe God is sparing us a dominionist (guilt by association) while cursing us with an obviously and openly self-worshiping authoritarian statist.
I’ve watched that one video of Ted Cruz’s dad’s preaching, several times. It seemed kinda pentecostal, with lots of references to the Old Testament. But I sincerely didn’t hear anything blatantly heretical or unorthodox.
Lots of people are maligning that video, without having actually watched it. Some people, for example, say that his dad called Ted “The Anointed One” in that video. But that phrase isn’t in there, at all.
Have Ted Cruz or his father said they hold to so-called “Seven Mountain Dominionism”? Or is that just the allegation?
Here’s the thing: I’m approaching this concept of “spheres” or “mountains” as one who has gone through Focus on the Family’s “The Truth Project” curriculum. The curriculum identifies various social spheres (church, state, family, etc.) in which followers of Christ might be engaged.
You can read more about it here ( http://www.focusonthefamily.com/media/the-truth-project ) or here ( http://www.thetruthproject.org/ ). I found a leaders guide here ( http://www.thetruthproject.org/~/media/files/pdf/ttp-leader-guide-final.ashx ).
