Jail just costs us more in taxes. Put ‘em to work.

Then stop making fines part of sentencing and just lock 'em up. Problem solved.

Will not work though because muncipalities need the cash these fines generate.

I have no problems with fines for infractions of the law....I am low income. I would love to se those fines based on percentage of income and wealth achieved. I had a good laugh when I heard of the billionaire that had a 100,000 dollar speeding ticket in Sweden. that’s how there fines work

big news for those that don’t want fines don’t break the law. the fact that some one is poor should not be used as an excuse to not be punished and if someone does not pay a fine let them spend a few weeks in jail. I am sure that it will change there perspective

I guess us White People should give up on ever having 4th Amendment rights anymore.

If WE have to pay and others don't, it's illegal.

Period.

Well, it would be more efficient for judges to hand down jail sentences instead of fines in the first place. You mean that’s not what Lynch meant...?

I would guess they have the stats and onow what democrat demographics are being jailed because they have bought bling, beer and boomboxes instead of paying bills, taxes and law violations.

Oh yeah, fine and jail those who can’t pay their stinking bills. Brilliant.

Then we can build more courts, prisons, hire more cops, guards, more probation hacks, interpreters...

Of course then we’ll need to raise the taxes for everyone substantially!

“——to the extent that these practices are geared not toward addressing public safety, but rather toward raising revenue”

Hey,Loretta-—who raised the $2.5 million revenue for the bailout for these people?—You did,via the IRS. What’s the difference?

Oh, so THEY get to commit crimes and are never to be called upon to pay the consequences. Yeah, THAT’S gonna have a positive effect to deter crime, you betcha. What are they using their “low income” for? Drugs, booze, and cigarettes, no doubt.
