Yes. The police are infallible. Every one of them. Criticizing one makes you a terrible person.

You people are sheep.

Did you watch the video? It shows proof that Mr. Kasich was guilty of the traffic violation charged. The officer was very polite throughout the encounter. Maybe Mr. Kasich should have attempted to change the traffic code through the legislature instead of repeatedly calling the officer an idiot?

Yeah, I dunno. I’m not seeing much wrong other than Kasich (and I am no fan) called the cop an idiot. In point of fact, it is the idiot Ohio legislature, or municipality, that made this traffic violation a mandatory appearance. That is ridiculous. People work. Kasich asked the cop if he could just pay the fine. Nope, had to appear in court on Monday morning.

Kasich was reasonably polite at the stop as was the officer. Again, Kasich’s calling the cop an idiot is misplaced. The cop didn’t make the court appearance mandatory. However, I will stipulate that the cop could have given him Kasich a warning, but did the cop did the “respect my athoritah” routine.

Bottom line? Not much there.

I seriously doubt that there is anybody on this site that is more anti bad cop than me. This cop did nothing “idiotic”, he simply wrote a ticket to someone who was not paying attention and put another cops life in jeopardy by not moving over OR slowing down, either of which he could have and should have. Why is that cop an idiot?

In this case the cop was right, he was polite and he was quick, the ticket was deserved. The idiot remark just shows what the governor thinks of cops in general because this one did nothing wrong at this stop.

When you say something stupid and you are in politics it is unreasonable to think it won’t come back to haunt you. If you don’t want to hear yourself saying stupid things, don’t say them.

Did he violate a law? Yes.

Did the fact that the officer cited him for violating the law make the officer an idiot? Hardly.

Baaaaaa...!
