The Missouri GOP released a tentative delegate allocation on Wednesday after the state's Tuesday Republican primary.
Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump received 37 delegates, followed by rival Ted Cruz who received 15 delegates, according to a reporter from St. Louis Public Radio.
According to the Associated Press, Trump received 40.9 percent of the vote in Missouri, followed closely by Cruz who got 40.7 percent of the vote.
Cruz could still call for a recount, given the extremely close margin separating him and Trump.Bernie Sanders, likewise trailing Hillary Clinton by two-tenths of a point, could also ask for a recount.
Trump took several states on Tuesday, winning in Florida, North Carolina and Illinois. He lost to rival John Kasich in the governor's home state of Ohio.

I doubt Cruz will demand a recount.

He probably doesn’t want to lose MO twice.

Agreed...It’d be different if they were nearly tied in delegates overall.

Looks like Ted ran out of caucus votes.

If it were reversed Trump would have already demanded a recount by now.

Ouch, this is not looking good for Cruz’s campaign (or the GOP-e convention brokers, if the Cruz delegates hold a grudge against Trump) if he couldn’t win a state favorable to him like MO.

According to http://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/election-2016/delegate-targets/republicans/ Trump would be on track to the magic number of 1237 if he had 679 delegates at this point in the contest. With these additional 35 delegates Trump now has at least 687 delegates or 101% of where he should be to reach the number by the convention. I would think that with the number of winner takes all states coming up and his current poll numbers he should actually reach the magic number even earlier than that even with the coming skullduggery.
