Obama’s nominee should be blocked, ignored, no hearings, no response even to the name mentioned by the usurper, no discussion of qualifications.

It’s time to start erasing the terrible stain on our country’s history left by these eight terrible years. For a start, no new Obama nominees should be confirmed for any position. Existing nominees should be impeached and removed from office. All executive orders should be repealed without review or consideration. All new administrative regulations from these terrible years should be revoked without exception. All new laws from the usurper’s tenure should be repealed without exception. The only legacy left should be (1) the crushing debt socialists have forced on our children, (2) the memory that evil can triumph even in America, and (3) a footnote in history books stating that for an eight year gap, America did not have a real president.

The Senate will cave if for no other reason but to state their displeasure of Trump...and the People.

No, they really shouldn’t. The dems would never allow it were the roles reversed and republicans get screwed every time we try to be the REASONABLE and RESPONSIBLE ones, every single time.
No one on his short list is impressive. the Sri guy has ZERO paper record, has published nothing, written nothing, has no views. oh, ok, so let’s let a blank slate, nominated by the most politically partisan president in recent history, go through just because we have nothing to point to, to indicate bias.

The nomination has to get out of committee first, and the committee chairman has to schedule hearings. If he doesn’t, it doesn’t move. The Republicans can and should bottle this up hard.

Trump effect. Not as much an issue if Hillary is next.

If no one on the list is impressive, they should reject it. Isn't what I just stated? It's better framing to keep an open mind until the choice is made. THEN express disappointment with the choice.

How many things have 'pubs messed up because they wanted to make it a political issue rather than defund it or reject it? (like Obamacare)

He can pick someone who looks impressive but we can be sure he will pick someone who will be a reliable vote for the liberal majority of judicial activists.

Never in recent history (at least since before 1900) has a President selected a Supreme Court justice in the final year of his term when the Senate was in control of the other party...and it has only been since the 1930s that judicial ideology became the paramount decision. This would be an unparalleled chance to change the overall ideological balance on the Court perhaps for decades.

America won't make it out of 2016 in one piece anyway.

(If you're beginning to wonder why you bothered prepping in the first place, you're about to remember why rather quickly).

Anybody who really wants to be an actual SC nominee should decline this nomination. It’s clear that whomever the WLB nominates, it will be for the strategic purpose of vilifying republicans in the senate - especially those standing for reelection this year in purple or leftist states. Any nominee at this time should consider themselves expendable.

Stuff it Obonzo. You’re already made the SCOTUS a circus with the two freaks you’ve added. No more clowns!

Then fine, we reject the nominee AFTER the person has been chosen. With a good reason attached to the rejection. Dig deep enough; there's always something.

But for now, I eagerly await Obama's choice and hope it's a person of excellent qualifications with nothing that indicates making decisions that aren't strictly based on the US Constitution, and someone who has made NO politically motivated decisions. Will Obama disappoint me AGAIN?

If you are going to say Ted Cruz endorsed some guy for the SC, then please tell us where to go to see that in fact.

What a load of malarkey! His supporters? What, he’s running for office again?

“”I’ve made my decision,” Obama said in an email to supporters early Wednesday.””

Considerable amount of time meaning - a couple of minutes? He’s doing his job. Now THAT’S funny!!!!!

“”But the president said he had devoted a “considerable amount of time and deliberation to this decision” and consulted with outside experts and groups.””

The only thing that McConnell and the RINOs “stand firm” against is conservatives and conservative values.

That’s not caving. And no matter what, it’s not caving but the same old collaboration with a bit of transparent Kabuki theater beforehand.
