In her mind she is absolutely correct. Anyone not in her sphere of friends or anyone that can give her millions of dollars is an untermencsh. Those people that were killed by her actions are non-entities to her. Mere inconveniences.
Remember that the ability to lie convincingly is a strong career enhancer for a rat politician. While to normal people this appears to put Baghdad Bob to shame, it’s yet another dog whistle to the base - “You can trust me”
